Random babble
I got a present today. It was a Windows Media File, which I could not watch because my WMP needed to be upgraded (sound and no picture!). So I upgraded it. It took a while, because it needed an upgrade and then codec and blah blah blah blah BLAAAAAH... but I finally got it. WooHOO. Now I can watch all those fanvideos Deej copied for me.
Anyway, the file was from a reader of "Sailormoon Dark," and it was basically a "credit sequence" for the fic using the music I picked for the, well, credit sequence (like it's a real show, teehee) over a slide show of the Sailor Moon regulars turning into the pictures of their Dark doubles. It even has the logo zooming in this really tv way at the beginning and end. I am flabbergasted that someone would go to that trouble over my fic. I know what it feels like to labor over something creative in appreciation of something you like (hello, what is fanfic?), and it... I'm not even sure I have a word for how it makes me feel. Just, numb. It's just really cool. ^_^
It also showed me that I need to fix a few of the pictures, because I colored the backgrounds by hand, and at the time, my monitor was dying and was really dark. So I couldn't tell that the black bgs in some of the pics looked bad. That's easily fixed. I just couldn't tell.
Oh, and this new version of WMP is spooky. It's spying on me. It knows what kind of music I like. *eyes shift back and forth* How did it know that? I was poking around and it was offering albums to me to listen to, and they were all albums I would actually listen to. ¬_¬ Did you hear that? And it didn't judge my musical taste, either. I would have expected, "P-U, your music stinks! Listen to these albums," but instead, I got, "Would you like some more Guns n' Roses?" You think it wants to date me?
SPN babble. I kinda like the pairing of Sam and Lenore. The idea danced around my head a bit, and then work got boring (which is every day), so it spawned a bunny that bit me pretty deep in the ass. And it's a cracked out bunny. I'm making notes, but I'm not sure it'll ever get written because some aspects of the bunny involve some pretty self-indulgent shit and freakin' Wincest. Things just happen. Then there's the cross-over... I'm addicted to them. Didn't even like this movie, but one of my childhood crushes as a vampire hunter? Irresistible. Everybody else writes self-indulgent fanfic! I can too! *writes the notes and then hides them under a rock* And the whole thing is told from Dean's point-of-view.
