Finished reading Kushiel's Justice. SOB. Poor Imri.
On the other hand, IMHO, did not deliver on the promise of "... Kushiel's justice will be felt in heaven and on earth." Totally not Carey's fault, I think, but whoever wrote book jacket blurb. Would have been satisfying without that promise. Will like it better once had time to let it sink in.
Also, would have been better if not for publisher's very spoilery summary sentence located in fine print on the copyright page. Accidentally ran across it searching for name of cover artist. Thought: "DAMN IT." Probably didn't enjoy book as much as would have if not waiting for the spoiler to happen.
BTW, Ysandre=HYPOCRITE. First time I've not liked her. Granted, not perfect, but would have thought better of her after everything she's seen and all she supposedly supported. Anger, totally understandable. Holding out on anger, totally not. Liking Drustan muchly right now.
Waiting for next book? DO NOT WANT. Want it now, please. Will go nuts waiting. Melisande? Guild? Mayhap more with Vralia? Would very much like to know exactly what Phèdre and Joscelin were up to on Hyacinthe's behalf, but know it isn't important. Still. Mayhap like to see more of Micah, too, if Guild stuff in next book brings Imri back to Vralia. ::snorts:: Angel in a dream. BWAHA. Joscelin=beautiful, but no angel. XD
