*HACK!*
I'm sick.
I had Jenn come over Saturday, and as we were staying up through Sunday AM I felt my throat get slowly more painful til I had a full-blown Whatsis.
I have dubbed it a flu because I had the fatigue and chills. Jenn, bless her, stayed like she usually does when Dad's away, til Monday when she had to go to school. Sunday all day (as late as we woke up, that is XD) she even came out of my sister's room into my father's room where I was laying to chill. She even shared under the covers with my sick, smelly ass. True sign of friendship right there. XD I slept off and on while we watched TV.
So mom stays home on Monday so I didn't really have to clean (Monday's chore day since I don't work but most of the world does) and I figure I'll miss two days of work tops. I've been existing on oatmeal and tomato soup and pudding and cranberry jelly, since the thought of hard food makes me kinda queasy, between thinking of swallowing and my stomach not fully behaving as well.
Looks fine, I'm in on Thursday, right? Co-workers all there, hear how bad I sound, know I'm really sick. BossLady does give me an option to book out early but I say, "After this job." I then get grabbed for something that I know will take up the rest of work, so I decide to go with it and stick it out.
I'm like, "Okay, coo, I have this thing beaten into a good and proper submission!"
I go to sleep around 10:30, which is early for non-sick me. I have this weird dream about American Idol. Something about someone getting kicked off and becoming a substandard doctor and now all his patients have ear infections? I don't get it. But I feel the snapping in my own ear, though its one of those dreams you watch and you're not in, so I get confused. The next thing I know I'm awake and snapping up in bed clutching my left ear in tears.
What I thought was just some sinus pressure causing the dull ache in my ears has erupted into a full-blown infection in my left. FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU
So I wake mom up and let her know. If it was just a bug I was fine fighting it off myself. Now that we have a real infection, its doctor time. >.< Yaaaaaaaaaay no insurance! Sigh.
So I call to explain to BossLady today what happened, and thank God I work in a small business because there's no bullshit here. <3 Love you BossLady.
My appointment's at 6:35 tonight.
