Nice haul

So I had a good two or three days.

Danny's back in town. On Sunday, me, him, Jenn, Dan, and Ashley all went to see Up. I recommend you ALL GO SEE UP. Tis better than Wall-E. I did not know PIXAR COULD do better than Wall-E. They did. Even the SHORT was far beyond the call of duty. The best pieces of PIXAR I have ever seen! Please go see it. It was wonderful.

Then Danny and I went out on Monday. I had some money I felt I could play with, so I squired him and treated myself. I finally found a Red Son Green Lantern figure. Red Son is an Elseworlds DC comic, about what if Kal-El landed in Soviet Russia and became a Communist hero. Wonderful graphic novel, go read it!

In the local thrift shop, I found two Twinkles the cat (a My Little Pony thing), a Lotsa Heart figure, and two Bump in the Night Subway kids meal toys! Mr. Bumpy and that doll friend of his (Molly?)!

Then we went to the mall, and I went crazy-go-nuts! Someone in Best Buy stocked the Dr. Horrible DVD a day early so I picked it up. I then found a special edition of Bram Stoker's Dracula (the one with Winona Ryder?), and since I'm a Special Features Whore, I picked it up.

And then...I saw...IT!

No, not THAT IT.

All five seasons of Babylon 5 on sale for $20 A PIECE. I AM ONE VERY HAPPY FUCKING FANGIRL. I have MISSED Babylon 5 SO FUCKING MUCH. NOW I OWN IT ALL.

Except the movies and Crusade, but they shall follow soon after...

Oh, and I picked up the H.R. Pufnstuf movie. ^__^ I am a sick sick person...

Today, I saved some baby pigeons. ^__^ Everyone at work thinks I'm crazy but I AM! So it don't matter. XD

Apparently every year we get pigeons roosting in this hole in the outer wall and can hear it inside. BossLady finally got fed up and asked her brother (who is a handyman, and she pays him to help us when we need it) to clean it out and plug it up. To my dismay she wouldn't wait til the babies were grown, so Joe put them out in the bushes out front. They weren't TINY, maybe two or three weeks away from flight, but still helpless.

I sat there watching from inside after I clocked out, no parents were coming. They weren't making noise when I did step out.

I spend two hours there, Googling and calling around trying to find someone to take them! My mother finally took pity on me, picked me up with a box and we took them. We stopped by the three animal hospitals who told me no over the phone, and they pulled out contacts in person. Number two told us they'd call in a favor, and we went to three. Three apparently takes them in, but for some reason they told me no. Either that or I got my numbers crossed and missed calling them back after a busy signal. I called SO MANY PLACES. >.<

They took them, but they don't do callbacks on wildlife rescues. I'm a little meh about not knowing about them, but at least they aren't shivering or starving, and if they do take a turn for the worst they can be gently put to sleep.

They were sweet little things, really. <3

Hey orca5094, move out here and open a rehab center. We need a REAL, reachable one. XD
