Goat chops, anyone?
The way queers keep in touch in Santa Fe is through Yahoo groups. One of these groups is called "lesbefriends" (over a year here and I'm still cringing) and the other one is called santafeys. Subscribing is one of the best ways to keep connected to the community, find out what's going on, hook up with a cheap couch. Or a lonely lady. Here is a recent post to the group. The last line is my favorite. I think I'm going to write the woman today and check on the goats' status. I love goats--but only if they're alive.

Subject: Two goats need new home or my girlfriend will eat them soon!
These are two beautiful nubian does, one black and one white. We are
moving and can't keep them. I hope one of you animal lovers will save
them from the dinner table. My girlfriend (a big butchy brute!) is an
avid hunter and meat eater and will be turning them into dinner soon ---
I'm serious!
I am asking an adoption fee of $100 per goat. I am asking an adoption
fee because the cost of them as meat is much more than this. I have
convinced my girlfriend that if I can sell them in the next week to a
loving home that I will buy her a leg of lamb and she can eat that
instead! Please Help! These sweet girls deserve to live with a loving
lesbian family!
