Yeah, but there is no "outside the Matrix". Zion was simply a partition in the virtual world that the machines created to give humans that rejected the Matrix reality the illusion of choice. As Neo put it after speaking with the Architect, the prophesy and the Oracle were simply "another form of control." Since Neo and crew never actually were free and outside of a virtual reality, the designation given to them by the Matrix would still be valid. Neo will always be Mr. Anderson. - Anon
