Right up front: I have not seen this movie (Yet, I'd really like to, its an interesting idea)
I'm really concerned about the increasing visibility of teenage pregnancy AND the lack of negative feedback about those pregnancies. Family planing is important. I don't think enough kids are seeing how teenagers lives are negatively impacted by having babies.
Come on, kids, do something with yourselves after/during high school! Don't just graduate, have a kid, and get married (like so many people from my high school). You're early 20s are an incredible time of learning, but I guess that's also true if you have a child.
I agree with this person. I hated the idea of Juno: a 16 year-old girl gets pregnant and is going to have a quirky time surviving high school before giving the child up for adoption. I did end up enjoying it a bit but the dialogue made me roll my eyes constantly.
This, Knocked Up, Baby Mama (the forthcoming Tina Fey/Amy Poehler movie)and..I know there are a couple other 'being pregnant' movies, specifically where it's an unplanned pregnancy, are just telling people, "Don't worry about it, have children. And we won't emphasize prevention or anything."
Juno should have just had an abortion and been done with it. And I also agree about the dialogue, especially when she was talking to the husband about music/movies. Give me a breeeeeeeak
