Well another 2+hours of work done. No pic yet, i will post as soon as i can.
Really couldn't afford it this time, but what the hell you only live once....that we remember anyway!
Meeting up with some friends tonight, should be a good time. Much needed fun after the week that has passed. Wheew this new schedule is rough....but everything takes time to adjust.
Today i saw the most amazing commitment and love in a relationship. My patient, that for obvious reasons i can not go into details, a very sick person and rather young compared to my other patients. The spouse was so amazing and doting. Took care of the pts every need. bed pan, am care and all. Cracked jokes with the pt, reminded the pt of their love and that it would get them through this too!
I have been touched several times in the past by this type of commitment, usually it is really elderly couples that have been together forever. This was a little different. the couple was younger....50's and the pt had allot of diagnosis that could have been prevented. It was touching because even in my own life when the going got tough, we broke up. and here is this spouse healthy, attractive and friendly, could have anybody and end this marriage, but loves the pt and is standing by.
I guess because I have seen so many separations for far less. It was just touching.
