Oh, thank you so much, my friend, I loved this! You managed to work so many different threads in--Jim's affinity for engineering, Uhura's occasional struggles with Spock, the trials of a working relationship (which is one of my favorite AOS themes). And, peach cobbler! Leonard sulking, and Uhura knocking some sense into him, is exactly how I imagined this dynamic playing out. I'm really honored that you wrote this based on my prompt!

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! I really wanted to give this pair their due. It can't be easy for these guys. Heck, my ex was a marine and the things we had to do to try and balance work and homelife really took a toll on us. I can't imagine how much worse it would be to have that relationship in a place where you just can't get away from work no matter what. Learning to cope with that would be huge and require a great deal of creative thinking.

Oh, bb! This was wonderful! I really loved that Uhura knew just how to set him straight, to make him see that just because what he'd planned couldn't happen exactly the way he'd planned it, it didn't mean that the whole time was completely ruined.

And, I honestly had to laugh because Bones was acting almost exactly like my hubby does when his plans get changed. :D

I love Bones and Nyota friendship fics. I would think that they'd have to be good friends just to deal with Spock and Jim!

Bones has an inner eight year old, that sticks out its tongue and throws spit wads. Trufax. It matches the outer eight year old that is Jim.

I just figure, with Nyota and Bones having the two most high profile partners ever that they must needs bond in solidarity. Besides, can you imagine these two lined up against Jim? The snark, the death glares, the eyebrows!?!
