Off to the Great North Woods...

Otherwise known as Door County. Haha. Such an overrun tourist trap these days. I do enjoy getting out of Madison and one of the things I like about Door County is that it's got quite a few amenities, if you choose to partake of them. This weekend is going to be too short to really get to avail myself of any of them without feeling run ragged, so I think this may be a "veg indoors" all weekend kind of deal. Find me some WiFi and just stay plugged in as if I was at home. It seems kind of silly, but driving up today (and we never leave until after noon, fucking waste of the day, but that's my dad and brother) and then back home on Monday doesn't exactly give me a lot of time to do the stuff I like. I can maybe fit in one activity tomorrow and the fireworks tomorrow night and that's about it. So, shopping or hands on art? I don't think I'll have time for both.

Gah! Why did I even say I'd go? I couldn't use furlough with paid holiday and I don't have any vacation coming until August, otherwise I would have taken Tuesday off, too. Bah, humbug.

Guess I'll just have to write porn for my hc_bingo or on my Star Trek Big Bang.
