(no subject)
Ya I burned alotta cd's from Krystle over the weekend and this Yellowcard cd is turning out to be totally rad. Keys to a good band in my opinion:
1)Fast tempo
2)Preferabally a singer with a distinctive voice (Yellowcard fails this one)
3)Unique instruments for the genre: i.e. punk bands with violins
In reference to 2), they sound like every other pop-punk band that's come out the last 5 years. In the post Blink-182 era we have bands where all the singers have these high, whiny voices. While I like some of these bands, they don't enter legendary status like bands with unique voices. C'mon, Roger and Chris do magical things in Less than Jake, and well, damnit Roger just looks so cute when he sings cause he's always smiling! I'd do that if I had a band, but I've tried it in the mirror, and it doesn't work. I look like I'm trying to be a pop singer or J-lo or something.
All the same these guys have rad lyrics, like another good pop-punk band: Fall Out Boy. Plus any band that names one of their songs after a line from Casablanca gets good marks on my score card. That dive deserves at least an 8.5 or so.
I had dinner with the company to welcome a new guy tonight. He's here for a year to do something, I dunno what, but I guess we'll find out. Oh man I wonder if they're gonna take my computer and give it to him. Hmmmmm..... As a result I didn't get to hit Daruma like I like to on Wednesday (コメントが有るなら日本語で書いた方が良いよ。）and I didn't hit the gym either, which could have potentially been good, but I guess my muscles have earned a rest. Tomorrow's another day, and it will be a gym day.
Now that I'm not sick hopefully I can get my tattoo colored. I also want to come up with the rest of the design for my sleeve, but I haven't pinned down what would fit my personality and be very green. Green's my favorite color, but I already have the forest thing all set up top here, so I dunno what I can do with the length of the rest of my arm. I think a clover would be awesome, but I don't think I'd want to have some long one that runs up and down my arm. A good, proportional clover would be best, I think. Hmm, green and long... Hmmm.... Maybe the Jolly Green giant's penis. Or the Jolly Green giant standing with his arms at his waist and his penis. Naaa, that wouldn't really fit my personality. (Let the gay jokes commence)
Here's to the end of November. The New Year's almost here. I wonder what everyone will be doing for it....
