Notes: This canon uses two main kinds of enemies that can attack during its missions and as cannon fodder during other events:

Elementals - these forces of nature were created by Baphomet as minions. Their appearance varies a lot depending on what aspect of nature the specific elemental embodies - some are giant figures (humanoid or not) made from one of the elements (see - typical fantasy elementals), but others are plant-like or resembling insects or other animals. Small elementals are nimble while large ones are tough, but none of them are very intelligent and most just use brute force in battle.

Disciples of Baphomet - they are humans who worship Baphomet, live in wild communes according to the laws of nature and reject all advanced technology. This would all be fine on its own, except that they're also fanatical eco-terrorists. In battle they are using elementals, sitting inside the solid rock-like ones or riding the animalistic ones like beasts of war, which they control by an empathic bond. Because they're controlled by a human, those elementals are capable of more elaborate tactics and attacks.

Background:
[spoilerrific part]
Few know that there are two powerful entities, who would be called gods by some, that reside on Earth: Baphomet is a god of nature and unspoiled wilds, Artifex, of technology and progress. The two entities have little sympathy for each other, and their views on humanity are very different: Baphomet hates how they despoil the environment, Artifex considers them his beloved children for their technological advances. They had an uneasy alliance until a major disaster happened: the Second Impact. Baphomet considered it and its aftermath the fault of humanity, and decided to eliminate the human race. Artifex didn't want to let it happen. Humanity remained unaware (and too busy with its own devices) while the two gods battled for fifteen years, a fight that ended with the victory of Baphomet. Neither of the gods could kill the other one directly, but the victor could banish his opponent to a dimensional prison, where he could only watch powerlessly - which is exactly what happened. Artifex had a plan in case he lost the confrontation, however - he created two humanoid machines of great power and right before the final battle sent them to highly-populated areas. With the strength of those robots humanity should be able to defend itself against Baphomet's minions - and maybe, if Artifex's plan succeeds, more than that...

[non-spoilerrific part]
Werter has been living in Berlin most of his 20-year long life. He was just a little kid when Second Impact struck, and the memories of that time are something he tries not to return to. Nevertheless, he survived, so did his parents, and Germany rebuilt pretty well after the catastrophe. After finishing high school Werter decided to study chemistry - the fact that Berlin has a big scientific institute working on environmental and de-polluting projects, which offers a lot of job offerings, might have something to do with his career choice. His life has been relatively calm and uneventful, until one day he found a robot model at a trash heap, and decided to take the weird and strangely well-preserved toy home. Unknowingly to Werter, his life was about to change radically from that point.

Personality: Unlike a typical Super Robot pilot, Werter is not very energetic, excitable or hot-blooded. He tends to be stoic in most situations, and shows a snarky, sarcastic disposition towards life. If you're looking for someone shouting the names of his attacks, Werter is not the way to go - he's more likely to point out the ridiculousness of the stuff around him. At the same time, he often tends to be a part of that ridiculousness himself, so his sense of humour has self-berating elements.

Werter spent a lot of his early childhood in rough conditions (thank you, Second Impact!), with little time or opportunities for fun and games, and he's making up for it now. He's not big on parties and such, though - Werter is introverted and somewhat of a loner, he's fine interacting with others on a face-to-face basis or in small groups, but feels uncomfortable in a larger crowd. Where his interests lies is nerddom - he's a big geek, and fun for him means video games, sci-fi shows and books, making plastic models and other similar activities. Spending a lot of time on entertainment means there's little of it left on other things - Werter is lazy, doesn't like working hard and prefers to avoid it whenever possible. He partially makes up for it with creativity and quick thinking, but this lack of motivation is still not a healthy approach for a mecha pilot.

One might think that Werter is an aloof and unpleasant individual, but that's far from the truth - he usually respects the people he interacts with on a personal basis (unless they give him a reason not to), and he generally enjoys being able to do something for humanity as a whole. He has a strong belief in rationality and scientific progress, seeing them as beneficial for everyone.

Capabilities and Resources: Werter can understand what Prometheus is trying to communicate when in sleep mode with 100% accuracy, rather than having to guess. It's not much, but at least it's something.

Robot Name: Prometheus
Robot Description: Picture!
Prometheus is a super robot, but of the fast and extremely agile variety, not the stompy and tanky variety. It stands around 25 meters tall, taller than a Gundam, and it's controlled by a combination of intuitive joystick-like controls (Artifex wanted the machine to be easy to pilot by even an untrained human) and a direct neural connection between the pilot and the machine, established by a special helmet installed in the cockpit. It is physically powerful and equipped with a drill lance as its primary melee weapon, but its armor is not stellar and it relies on dodging for defense. What makes it special is its plasma generator - it enables a skilled and imaginative pilot to create various shapes of semi-solid green plasma, and use them as weapons or special attacks. The generator can also create a wide-area defensive field, which is hard to penetrate but comes with big drawbacks: to use and maintain it, Prometheus must stand still, and it takes the use of both (or one for a weaker field) of the robot's hands. This makes the field most useful for defending military installations, civilian areas or battleships, or when targetted by a big, long-range attack.
When not in combat, Prometheus enters sleep mode - it shrinks down to around one foot tall, and the extra mass and its lance disappear in extradimensional space. In this mode Prometheus is able to move on its own - it's unable to talk, but it acts like a curious, energetic and sometimes mischevious prankster. Its plasma generator is replaced with a steam engine, and it has to drink water for sustenance, especially if it was damaged in a recent battle. Prometheus slowly regenerates when in sleep mode - it usually cannot be repaired in another way, since it rarely stays in combat mode when not piloted, and it doesn't let anyone but Werter to pilot it.
Terrain Stats:
Land: A (S at full power)
Air: - (A at full power)
Sea: B (A at full power)
Space: B (A at full power)

Upgrades: As Werter's mastery of the plasma generator increases, he becomes able to use more and more attacks, often created impromptu on the battlefield - many of them follow a specific pattern, mirroring many of humanity's most important technical advancements. At some point, Werter also discovers that the drill lance can split to become a wave motion gun. In a very late canon mission, Prometheus gains the ability to use plasma bursts for movement (including flying), and its general performance increases.
