Sat March 17th 11:00am PYRAMID MEETING
CALLING NON-DANCE VOLUNTEERS For MASSIVE ART PROJECT TO ACCOMPANY BELLY DANCERS!
PASS THE WORD
More notes on the project. Delilah and Visionary dance receieved partial McKay Grant sponsorship for supplies to build a Fantastic Pryamid in this year’s Solstice Parade. We need 72 parading Ancient Egyptian wannabes to build a cardboard pyramid in the center of town (AKA The Center of the Universe) in the middle of the parade as the Billion Bellies dance by!!! This project needs you to come to a meeting Sat March 17th 11:00am at VDP Studios (we’ll have beer) to see and hear our plans and what’s involved before you commit. (Warning: It will involve a few Saturday or Sunday afternoons and a couple massive rehearsals in June on Thursday nights June 7 and 14th). It’s going to be so cool!
If you are at all interested call Delilah 206 632-2353 or e mail us at info@visionarydance.com!

Also, the Utilikilt staff are on board and designing an Ancient Egyptian style kilt for the volunteers to wear.  We've got some Fremont artists doing jewelry as well, which I think will turn out pretty sweet.  This isn't a huge time commitment--probably the most time consuming part will be being in the solstice parade itself.  And you don't have to be buff, the 'stones' will be lightweight ;)

The parade, if you haven't been before, is awesome and definitely worth going to/participating in at least once.  Delilah is on a roll and wants to build a pyramid in the middle of Fremont--all she needs is volunteers at this point.  All you need is to be open minded (yes, I realize Delilah's philosophical beliefs are not for everyone) and willing to participate.
