My sweetest Sin - Chapter VI

Jul 25, 2010 22:42

I have no peace, no quietness. I have no rest; only trouble comes.

(Job 3:26)

It was already late in the afternoon on a lazy Monday in autumn, the air was clear, a little chilling maybe, but there were no clouds to block the setting sun from painting the city in dark golds, oranges and reds. For all those couples and romantically delusional schoolgirls walking down the streets, this would mean the embodiment of beauty, but to Yunho it felt like a perfect copy of hell’s fires. It was often like this, one of his biggest problems, at least in the opinion of others; he wasn’t able to see something good and not fall into another point of view, one that shows how everything beautiful has its faults, too. He was called cynical and pessimistic for that, but he himself just thought that this was a realitic interpretation of this world.

He didn’t feel like working these days, nor like partying or going out at all. His friends and roommates were already making fun of him, for they had never seen Yunho this passive - the brunette teen didn’t get that, though. He was never the happy go lucky type, many people actually desribed him as borderline depressive, but he simply never cared. Maybe the problem lay exactly in this fact; he never cared, never thought too much about things, because he believed that one had to live in the moment and if there was anything wrong, try and change it, because rumination alone never solved any difficulties.
Nevertheless, here he was, lying on the patch of green he could see from his room’s window, staring into the perfectly blue sky and being deeply buried in his own thoughts. Though, no one actually knew what his inner debate was about.

“Hey, Ho, what’s up buddy?” YooChun let himself fall onto the grass heavily, close enough to Yunho to make the other aware of his presence. He never really was one to butt into the problems of others, but his younger friend worried him a lot during the past week and he simply couldn’t pretend nothing was wrong anylonger.

“Hey, Chun. What do you want?” It was remarkable that the boy actually took notice of the other’s presence, which in itself was quite an alarming fact, now wasn’t it? YooChun sighed, his eyes staring into the same endless sky Yunho was, and there were some uncounted moments of silence before the twen started talking, slowly and with his unique dark, low voice.
“What’s going on with you, Yunho? You don’t seem the same person since... actually, I don’t know when this started.” He looked over into the giggolo’s handsome face, but he still didn’t get the other to tear his eyes away from the cloudless blue.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Chun. Am I not allowed to be a little bit quieter than usual? Not that I’m the big moodmaker anyway, right?”
Yunho tried to wave it off, but Micky still wasn’t convinced. “It isn’t drugs, right? If you cannot handle some stuff anymore, you can tell me; you know you always need to be careful with using that shit!”

Yunho couldn’t help the chuckle escaping his lips. “God, to hear that from you of all people - ain’t I talking to Park ‘Micky’ YooChun, the worst drug dealer and biggest pot-lover in town? Chun, please, don’t worry, I’ve seen some of your clients and I’m not very keen on ending up the same path.” He finally turned his head to face his friend. “Just take it as pubertal difficult behaviour and stop worrying, you big softie. I know I can always come to you if I have any trouble and I’m thankful for that, but now I only have to bring some things into the right order, up here in my disorganized brain!” He pointed up to his forehead and YooChun started laughing along.

“Okay, well, with that said, I guess I’m going to leave you again.” The older youth stood up, patting the dust and stray grass blades from his behind, before walking off, only turning around to the younger again after a few steps, “Oh and by the way, have fun with your visitor!”

Coal rimmed eyes snapped open because of confusion, when suddenly Kim JaeJoong entered the lawn, his head low and a slight blush most probably decorating his pale cheeks.
“Hey, Yunho!”

This was actusally the third time JaeJoong’s actions surprised Yunho - first, when he bluntly screamed at him in the streets (really, STD?), then when he came to Yunho’s home and now that he returned again. It wasn’t exactly the fact that the smaller seemed to have a real interest in Yunho, seeing that he always came to him, but more that he didn’t let the rebel’s foul temper and insults get to him. It was kind of couragous of the devout boy, especially if one focused on what Yunho did with his innocent body and mind. In fact, the dark clothed teen was more than a little impressed by the other’s persistance.

“Before you even ask - I don’t even have the slightest clue about why I’m here.” The black-haired said while letting himself fall down onto a spot next to Yunho, but still a safe distance away. He looked up into the sky, a light breeze ruffling his hair a little, and his face looked calm, composed and so unbelievable pretty that Yunho simply couldn’t look away.

“I bet it’s the same answer you’d give me if I’d ask you why you did... well, the things you did the last time I was here... or the first time we met...”
Yunho, who still stared at JaeJoong’s pretty face let out a short chuckle before sitting up, propped on his elbows.

“Sorry, but no. I know why I did those things - I did you, because I wanted to; you were the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen and I wanted to sleep with you.” The blush spreading over the smaller’s cheeks was impressive, just another detail to lighten up Yunho’s mood.
“And the last time’s doings I was performing, well, that was because I wanted to stop you from your never ending preaching! You annoyed the hell out of me and the only thing I can think of, that’s able to stop you, is the immorality of anything sexual. Right, Christian boy?”

JaeJoong glanced at him for a split second, before directing his focus back to the perfect blue sky. “Well, don’t you think it’s a little inappropriate? I mean, you could have at least tried talking to me!”
Now it was Yunho’s turn to raise an eyebrow. Was the other really-
“As if that would have helped at all! And by the way, didn’t I tell you to shut up numerous times?”

The other swallowed. There was some truth in this that he couldn’t deny, but still - was it necessarry to do... to... dear, even thinking the unmentionable was a torture to Jae.
“I-I really meant no harm, I was merely trying to offer help. You know, I’d be interested in your story, like, how did you end up here and why do you fight the idea of God so fervently?”

When after a couple of minutes the silence continued between them, Jae stole a glance of the boy to his right, who had already laid back down onto the green floor, his eyes closed and his facial expression unreadable. “Yunho...?”

“My name is Jung Yunho, I am 17 years old and my birthday is the 6th of February and no, there’s no one I would call family who is crysing their eyes out because of their concern for me this very moment. And the rest, JaeJoong, is none of your business.”

It was hard not getting offended by Yunho’s tone, but the young acolyte tried his best. He decided to focus on the brighter side of life. “Well, that’s nice to know, dongsaeng~ “
Yunho sat up quickly, staring at a snickering JaeJoong. “What the h-?”
Jae turned to face him, the most mesmerizing smile on his lips, as he answered, “My birthday is in January, the 26th to be exact - this means I’m your hyung by 11 days, my dear little dongsaeng!”

The hours after that brief conversation were spent in mutual acceptance and mostly silence, only short bits of small talk interrupting every now and then, topics never going beyond the depth of highschool life and why Yunho wasn’t attending any educational institution.
It was already turning dark and chilly when they woke up from an unintended afternoon nap, freezingly cold little droplets crushing mercilessly down onto their skin, drenching them within a matter of seconds. The rain felt like it wanted to cut right through their skin and they both were awake instantly, trying to cover themselves and find shelter as fast as possible. Yunho took off his jacket to drape it over Jae’s head, the slightly older boy’s school uniform too thin to really protect him from the downpour, and started running, leading them to his home’s entrance.

Finally inside, Yunho led Jae through the main hall, where some of his roommates were lounging around, smoking and drinking and all too curious when their youngest entered with his hand holding the one of a pretty boy. One of the guys started to whistle, but Yunho didn’t react to that at all; he just shove JaeJoong into his room, glaring one last time at his friends before closing the door.
“I’m going to the bathroom to get us some towels and dry clothes and maybe take a quick, hot shower, would that be ok?”
It wasn’t as if he was really waiting for a response, so the taller left quickly, leaving an uncomfortable JaeJoong behind in the silk and velvet covered room of Yunho’s.

It wasn’t more than 10 minutes later that Yunho returned to his room, clad in sweatpants only and with a bundle of fluffy towels, warm sweats and an oversized jumper. It might seem as if he was feeling guilty for taking a shower first, but no...no... it was just... he wasn’t as ill-mannered as people might assume, ok? And he was freezing when they entered, so the thought of letting the other go first kinda... slipped his mind.

Whatever excuses his mind was soothing itself with were forgotten when the teen heard the voice of a certain friend of his from the room he knew JaeJoong was currently in.
“... don’t worry, JJ, this brewage here will make you feel warm in an instant! Just trust your good ol’ buddy Micky!”

This could under no circumstances mean any good.
When Yunho slowly opened the door to his room, he saw the two youngsters sitting on his huge mattress on the floor, the younger black haired just finishing the hot content of YooChun’s cup. The moment the twen noticed Yunho’s presence, he slowly stood up, saying bye to Jaejoong and passed his teenage friend, smirking. “Have fun!”

It never meant any good when YooChun was saying something like this, so the rebel was on guard. The first minutes passed without anything unusual happening, JaeJoong took a shower and the world outside was slowly drowning in an extreme rainstorm. Yunho was sitting on his favourite spot of his room, the windowsill, staring out into the pitch-black darkness this autumn evening has turned into.

“Yah! You!!” The peaceful melancholy was interrupted the instant JaeJoong returned to the room. He was wearing the clothes Yunho gave him, and as expected they were too large for him, so the pants were riding dangerously low, while the collar of the jumper was revealing a pale shoulder. The enticing sight almost made Yunho miss the reddish flush on the pretty face, as well as the angry look.

“W-what the hell has gotten into yo-?” Yunho wasn’t able to finish his sentence when Jae suddenly was too close for comfort, trapping the younger boy between his body and the cold glass of the window. He was staring into the taller’s eyes without even blinking once and the latter had to swallow hard due to the intensity.
“I hate your guts for what you’ve done to me! It’s all your fault, Jung Yunho! Ever since the day I met you, I… my thoughts are always occupied with those… detestable things and I …I cannot seem to get rid of them! I was living a good, pure life before I met you and I… I want it back!”

Even though the older was yelling the words right into Yunho’s face, the taller couldn’t miss the slight slur in his speech, or the misty look of his eyes and he had to wonder what exactly was in that tea YooChun gave the Christian boy earlier.

“JaeJoong~ calm down, okay? Look, whatver it is, you could try and tell me tomor-“
This really didn’t seem like the day of Yunho finishing his sentences. But this time, JaeJoong’s method was one of the most promising - he silenced the younger teen with a passionate kiss.
