In four years then Arashi will be in their 20s?
Is this set before the Tokugawa period? I'm just curious on which era of feudal Japan the story is set into.
I'm slightly familiar with how the lands were distributed during feudal Japan so I think I understand why the lands will go to the lesser lords and not to the uncle if Jun dies.

This story is AU, although it's basically set in a replica of Japan that I did whatever I wanted with, haha. I'm not going to pretend that it's historically accurate, but as a reference, I'd say definitely before Tokugawa, maybe 1300-ish? Very little western influence and a rigid hierarchy. I'm sure you know more about it than me, so I hope I didn't make any really huge mistakes. =A=;
Anyway, thanks for reading and your comment!! :DD

Rigid hierarchy. I can picture that clearly. And I'm not a good judge of historical accuracy since I'm not familiar with pre-Tokugawa Japan. And I agree that since it's AU, you can tweak things a little (blame the question on my curiosity) :D

Yay Jun is free. I didn't thought that things would go so smooth, without any fight. I thought that Jun will have to reveal himself to his uncle somehow. Glad that they're all safe.
Riida is being stubborn. So now Jun have to wait a little longer to be with Ohno. Now I wonder about the change. Will it be better, or will it turn worse?

Yep, Ohno is back to being stubborn right after he managed to completely save Jun. He's been very back and forth right? Being stubborn, they completely giving in for Jun, then pretending like he didn't... You'll have to see how it turns out in the end. (Sorry for making you wait!!)
Thanks for reading! :D

But it is really pity that Jun let his title as Lord Matsumoto to his greedy and arrogant uncle...
Hope Jun can bring back that title in future...
When Jun's uncle get agreement to not going attack the village again, I think the story is going to it's end...
yokatta, it's not end yet since I really enjoy this story^^
thanks for sharing and I'll look forward for the next chapter^^

I completely understand jun's feeling of wanting to confront ohno
I have this image that riida was being very reserved and a little bit far away from the others during the 4 years period. I can understand that maybe he was burdened by his responsibility as a leader.
this is just a guess, but was riida's behavior somehow related to
matsumoto's ambushed to the village before? he practically blamed himself because he was losing his calm and only thinking about jun?
I'm really curious about riida's character here. I kinda wish I can guess his train of thoughts
thank God that the meeting went so smoothly
ohno amazed me with his calm and negotiation skill.
and the others trust him with their lives.
I can't wait to read the next part.
love you for writing this au. ♥

About the rest of your comment... >;3 you'll have to see, though I assure you that the reason will be clear by the end of this story. As for Ohno's thoughts... I don't know, he turned out serious in his, but his thinking is still pretty simple. The bigger question is what conclusions did he come to about the problems he's facing.
Thanks for reading and your great comment (I was excited to hear about what you think about Ohno). :D
