i had a good day out and i came home to find this! XD
haha, i loved ohno's confusion when nino offered to pay. LOL.
and the cheating! sho! hahaha. but sigh, poor nino. he's also suffering nightmares from all the stress, guilt and depression that he is undergoing =(
i hope that he will find a way to cope with it.. altho.. i dont think it's right for anyone to get used to killing people, but i just it's something that is required of a ninja? =(
and im excited to find out who's going to join the group now! if it's aiba, maybe he could cheer nino up! if it's jun.. hmmm~ i cant imagine him cheering nino up, but i think he's going to make nino more motivated and competitive somehow.. but ok! shant speculate too much. lol!

Yay! Good days are so good. :DDDD I'm glad you had one and that I could contribute to it. <3 I felt like this chapter was funny, until Nino got so depressed and then it ended on a low note. ): The killing stuff is pretty sad, right? But somehow that's what I thought of when the job of ninja came up, and it ended up turning into an actual theme of the story. So there's still more to come on that topic.

Yes, you'll see who's coming in the next chapter, so you'll just have to wait. ^__^ Although it sounds like you have a pretty good idea.

And yes, I was totally excited by all the cute friendship, but even all the nice parts---celebrating Ohno's birthday!---were somehow completely heartbreaking. This fic makes me CARE about the characters so dang much that I just want to rescue them! I like how you interweave the different perspective---how Ohno thinks about Nino, how Nino thinks about Ohno, etc.

Can't wait to find out who is joining them next!! (maybe Aiba to introduce some light-heartedness...?)

This fic makes me CARE about the characters. That's such a great thing to say! It really makes me happy~ Actually, I think this is the first fic where I've jumped from perspective to perspective in the same scene... usually it's just from one perspective you know? Anyway, I wasn't sure if it would be successful because it seems like it would be confusing, but I did it anyway, so I hope it'll continue working well. :)

So I didn't know where the heck I were when you posted this fic, but here I am finally! Is this the one you told me about? I absolutely love this Ohno! Probably as much as the adorable kind

I don't know where you were, but this was pretty recent. ^__^ Yes, this is it. There's not that much posted yet, and just like you said (very insightfully, by the way) this is actually only sort of the prologue. Like, introducing characters, relationships, setting the scene and bringing in some of the themes already... This actually turned out to be pretty long, so hopefully you'll be patient for a few more chapters until things get a bit more juicy. ^__^

And you're talk about their characters is really deep too... sometimes I just think of the scene and write it, and then when people comment about it afterwards I realized what I was trying to convey (usually it comes through...?). Yes, in a sense Nino is stronger than Ohno because he can openly deal with his problems, especially now that he has Sho to help him. Ohno is his "naive" self, expect in this fic it worked different than usual. He's mysterious and sad instead of just not understanding what's going on around him. ): Sho's addition brought their faults to the forefront, so

It's really great to slowly get more and more of Ohno and Nino's thoughts and feelings while growing up in such a harsh life.
