against horse slaughter.

On June 8 the House passed the Sweeney-Spratt Amendment to House Agriculture Appropriations Bill which prevents the use of federal money for the slaughter of horses for meat. It's really a small victory in horse slaughter over all, but SHOULD hamper the BLMs efforts sell Mustangs for slaughter. One might hope, anyway. We have a long way to go, though. So if this is an issue that concerns you, especially if you have written to your Rep. about the vote and intend to on further related issues, it might be prudent to check to see if your Rep. voted for this and thank hir if s/he did. This link leads to a link to let you know how they voted.
