Movie Review: X-Men First Class
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It had just the right blend of action and thoughtfulness into the backgrounds behind Xavier and Magneto. I must say ... Magneto really held the big screen with his horrific background in a nazi concentration camp, his quest for revenge, his friendship with Xavier, and the reasons they end up on opposite sides. Given what he's seen, it's like, OF COURSE he's going to fight for the survival of his species! If you were one of the people that liked Iron Man 1 a lot better than Iron Man 2, you'll like this movie for all the same reasons.
Magneto was also, like, TOTALLY hot. That sexy German accent of his and tortured eyes and hot physique (which I wouldn't have minded a bit more of) was just ... yum!
Hubby liked it too. A genuinely good movie with no caveats about my weird fondness for B-grade cult films.
The verdict is .... spend the bucks. See it on the big screen.
