Wah, and i'm totally infused with that geek/gamer/nerd/loser/animefreak mentality :3
i have decided to start watching all of the anime i can get my grubby hands on lol
so i'm currently watching Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! on anime6.org. the compressor they used on the first episode (so far, havent checked the other episodes yet, pulls on the bottom in peices and distorts the picture, but the majority of the stuff is clean and i'm beginning to understand what they are saying so i can get a bit of the stuff that is missing, lol.
i find that i'm getting better at japanese. but not writing it, lol, just speaking and hearing it. once i get used to that, then i suppose i could get some flashcards to help me learn the symbols, right? :D
