It was THE prom, so it wasn't like it's own little shindig. Everyone was dressed to cool... The weirdos outranked the well-dressed, it seemed.

Though not everyone went of course. Some people just don't wanna go lulz.

It was the 'gay ball' my college has one, and nI know everyone doesn't show up to that one. Heck I doubt the whole student body would show up to the regular ball...

It was the PROM, roo. The one and only prom for the entire school year. Wasn't a separate event.
