"We're going to London to shop for a wedding dress and a like, maid of honor or whatever dress. Do I need other ideas? I mean, I can have them if you want but usually people start telling me to stop having ideas some time after the midget strippers come up."
She looks thoughtful.
"They might come in handy during the shopping, though."
"Actually, I know where there's a place that you'll probably be able to find..."
She trails off, eyeing the look Susan's giving her.
"...But dresses first. Yes."
She reaches through the group, and turns the doorknob. The bar is suddenly flooded with the sounds of city traffic, as the door swings open to reveal Piccadilly Circus.
She'd not moved too closely to the door until now-- Susan knows where it leads for her, say true.
(the clearing)
But as the noise and bustle of the city comes through, she takes a step, then another -- eyes wide as she looks -- and then oh, but the smile that spreads across her face is bright and shining.
A city. A real city, seen in daylight and not someone else's memories,
(Gilead-that-Was)
and for a moment, she is lost in simple delight as she contemplates it.
Faith's never been to London before, but growing up in Boston, plus all that time spent in New York, has left her largely immune to the wonder of big cities.
That doesn't stop her from enjoying Susan's expression - she moves to her other side and takes her other arm, grinning at Lilly over her head.
Momentarily, Crowley debates linking her arm with either Lilly or Faith, for a chorus of 'dresses and corsets and hats, oh my!', but wisely, decides against it.
Stepping through the door, she beckons for the rest to follow, then starts to lead the way through London.
"So - you think we should try for an actual bridal gown? Or see if we can find something that suits in a normal dress?"
"I've no idea what yer styles of gowns would be-- unless it's to be something on the nature of a Fair-Day dress, and those take time to make, I wot," she says simply.
"Were I in Mejis, it'd be a nice dress that could serve other purposes later, as well -- in Gilead, it'd be something more fancy, for the gunslingers-- they're -- well, they're nobility, do'ee ken?"
"Well, I have no idea what a Fair-Day dress is," Lilly says cheerfully. "Of course, if it's anything like the hats, I can see why it would take time to make. However, here in London we can find you anything you want, pre-made, as fancy or as simple as you want."
She grins.
"And if Koosh somehow, somewhere, counts as nobility that does give you total freedom to dress like a princess if you want."
"She should dress like a princess if she wants whether 'Bert's nobility or not," Faith puts in. "Seen brides wear tiaras and crowns and stuff in dress mags before."
Then, to Susan, "They make some pretty ridiculously floofy gowns. Look kinda like a merengue."
"A Fair-Day dress is one made for the celebrations held for a Fair-Day," she explains helpfully. "A-- a holiday, ye'd say, mayhap. They can be ridiculous costumes, near-- all beading and applique and things that I've no real taste for."
She smiles, a little ruefully. "I've always liked pretty dresses, but not the sort that make ye look like-- like a dressed-up doll."
"Totally with you there," Lilly assures her. "I used to get put into the most ridiculous dresses... but then I got old enough to figure out unzipping and never again."
She laughs.
"Also, I figure you're not going to make me wear some atrocious bridesmaid thingy with like... taffeta and bows and hideous colors."
"Togas?" There's a little confusion in the look she gives Crowley, but then Susan laughs, shaking her head.
"Nay, Lilly, I'd not-- wear whatever ye'd like, ye've got good taste to select something, I wot." A beat. "As do ye, Faith, for that's a pretty dress indeed, say true."

"Shiny, huh? And even shinier? Somewhere out there is your wedding dress. Let's go find it!"

"Hm. Floofy, no, I don't think. Floaty, maybe. Depending. But not floofy."

Faith grins wryly, smoothing down the red dress she's wearing right now. "It still feels a little weird, but I'm getting used to it."
