Sick of being sick
I make a terrible sick person. I've had my ass planted in front of my computer pretty much the entire day. The only times I leave my room are to go the bathroom and to eat everything in sight. The copious food consumption has to be a good sign, right?
Despite having next to no voice, I managed a handful of necessary phone conversations today. Signing the lease for the apartment this Thursday, my lawyer informed me I'd be receiving a settlement check sometime next week, found out that the job recruiter who contacted me was a false lead (she wants a life insurance agent. Buh??)
Besides the phone, I've spent most of my computer time doing tech maintenance, researching jobs, and watching downloaded TV episodes. Latest U of M application is no longer being looked at, but I talked to someone who works at Tiger Oak today, and that place sounds awesome. Going to call them when I get more of a voice back.
Hopefully I'll be able to connect to the house network soon too, and then I'll have a plethora of nerdy TV shows at my disposal. Mwahahaha!
It was a gorgeous two days, but I couldn't really explore it. Every time I get out of breath I start coughing. Best to just stay in my humidified bio-cube with cough drops at hand. At least I'm not as weak today. Bleh.
