(no subject)
Um, I think I go to a school full of crazy people. We just partook in a ritual that consisted of as many people as possible standing in a giant hatchet drawn on the grass and then waiting and waving our arms and screaming madly while a helicopter flew over us to the Ride of the Valkyries and took a picture. Yeah.
It was actually a part of the actvity fair, known as Logjam, but it was definitely weird. I signed up for a fair number of clubs, I don't even remember them all. Oh, but I did sign up for the Ping Pong Club! That'll be interesting. Also a fair number of film, movie, music, art, etc clubs. Oh and then at the end, these really cool performers came (this was after the scary nine-year-olds singing country) and they did lots of things reminiscient of fire poi, except it wasn't just poi, it was also a flaming hula hoop and a really long metal pole and a really long rope, both with fire on the ends. They arrived in a completely black bus too. That was sweet.
Oh, so, I tried out for Midsummer Night's Dream, and some people thought the director was impressed (I guess my voice is a good theater voice, projection, watever), but then I couldn't find the call-back list! I looked everywhere around the theater and the offices and everything. And then I forgot to go back until after logjam, which apparently was after the call-backs started. But it's also possible that I wasn't on the list but was still cast, so I might not have had to be there at all. I'll go see if I can talk to the director tomorrow and tell him what happened, or just wait till the cast list goes up or something. I'm won't be really dissapointed if I messed it up, cause I was starting to think it would take up a lot of time, as cool as it would be to act again. Plus, I wouldn't want to spend that much time in it if it was a really small, non-speaking, weird-goth-dance, fairy role. Not that they're that bad or anything.
I'll try out for one of the other 18 productions, or maybe more than one. I'll have plenty of chances. And next time, I won't mess up looking at the call back sheet!!
P.S. Everyone is leaving campus for the long weekend. I'll be all alone, practically, in the dorm. People should come visit me!!
