Just got back from a long beach weekend this evening. Nate joined my family in Lewes, DE for the weekend as well. I think we all had a relaxing, fun time. I definitely spent enough time in the sun! I did use sunscreen and only managed to get burnt a bit on my forehead (I must sweat too much). It's back to work tomorrow, although I can't complain because it's only a 3 day week. Hehe. What a great, flexible job I have! The only thing I am missing out on is the OBX with Nate and some friends from college. I am pretty bummed about that, but I can't do EVERYTHING I want. On my days off I will be touring 3 different facilities for possible wedding reception spots. I'm excited about that!

Another thing on my mind is losing weight. I have put my mind to it to just do it and get it over with FOREVER (within reason, of course). I found a photo of myself with the girls from my apartment junior year of college. The way I look in this particular photo is exactly how I would like to look again. I posted this picture on my mirror in my bedroom so that I see it every day and it can act as a sort of reminder that THIS is my ultimate weight goal. I don't think I am unattractive now, but I would definitely like to be in better shape. I suppose all the beautiful, fit people at the beach prompted this for me. I'm not going to be crazy about it, but I think I need to make this a more permanent mindset in order to keep the weight off. My weight tends to fluctuate a lot. I think a good portion of it depends on my hormones. I think drinking more water and drinking a lot less diet soda will help with this. I have started to change my eating habits and have gotten gradually better, but there's always room for improvement. I would also like to look especially captivating at my wedding. So, it seems as if I have a good goal with ample opportunity to accomplish it. So here's hoping!
