Letters to no one: Joan Holloway edition.

Dear Christina Hendricks,

Please don't ever stop being the way you are.  Please don't ever take a role where you have to go brunette or play a cancer patient who weights 108 pounds or get super tan.  Please, please be a beacon of beauty and confidence and sex appeal and grace for as long as...ok do it forever.

Please remind me every day with your very existence that pale and curvy and redheaded is absolutely the way to be?  Please defy the endless stream of media commentary about how "revolutionary" your "stunning/voluptuous/sultry curves" are.  Because it's not a revolution, it's a fact.  Curvy has always been beautiful, it's just that Somebody doesn't want us to think about it.

Please don't ever stop being talented.  Don't ever stop giving us subtle, layered performances of crafty, strong women who play men at their own games to get what they want before the boys know what's missing.  Please don't stop having incredible timing, please don't stop having a gorgeous presence.  Please don't listen to stupid people when all they talk about is your rack and not your skill.

And please, can I borrow your dresses?

A curvy, pale, redheaded fan,
-Kim

PS: I think I read somewhere that you're not a natural redhead.  It's ok.  I'm not, either.
