Just a quick post from the venue in WV.
Here's what I wrote in my other blog:
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/MeganinVA/view/load-out-246747 Sorry for just linking like this...I just don't want to type it all out again :/
For the last day or two I've been kind of cranky, dunno why. Maybe it's because I'm reading Hunger Games, haha. I'm on the second book and it's turned into a romance novel. Look, I have nothing against Young Adult Fiction, but cripes, why do the most popular books have all this angst? What on earth is so appealing about that? Well, I do like The Golden Compass series, so perhaps I'm a hypocrite ;)
Looks like this will be a bitch post. Sorry.
I love sharing my little circus adventures with friends and family. But I hate posting links to my blog so frequently on facebook. I've friended many of my coworkers, and I don't think they need to get my circus-related spam showing up on their news feed. But when I stop posting (last week I didn't post much), people ask, "Hey, where'd your blog go?"
This makes me think, "Um...are you stupid?"
Bookmark the link!
Why do I have to keep reposting? If you've clicked it once, you know where it is.
Same thing with the tour schedule. About every other day someone pms me and asks "When are you in/near my city/state?" Look, I love my friends and family, but I wish they would sometimes think before asking questions like this. The tour schedule is publicly available on the Ringling Website (can't link it now, on ipad)
I just wish sometimes that people would LOOK before they ASK.
I love answering questions about the circus, and am glad people are interested. But think about how many people ask me that same question over and over. I get tired of answering, and I feel bad answering with "google it" because I'm sick of spelling shit out when someone is too lazy to do their own research.
Anyway, that's unreasonable for me to feel that way, but that's the mood I'm in and lj is my place to rant.
Another thing bothering me currently is people at the circus trying to involve me in little romantic intrigues.
Like 3 people came up to me yesterday and said, "Did you know so-and-so likes you?"
Several guys have also asked me out before even asking my name or introducing themselves.
Those guys can go to hell.
I've already said I don't shit where I eat or whatever the saying is. I'm here to work and have fun and make friends. I'm not hooking up with anyone here, period. Urgh.
I really AM looking forward to this train run though! To end it on a positive note, lol
