Believe in the Power of You and I

Congratulations, Canada, for hosting a really awesome Winter Olympics! I think all of the athletes were amazing and I especially loved watching the figure skating and hockey. There were so many motivating stories of people overcoming their failures and hardship to do their best, from all over the world. I was inspired by Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue because of their beautiful ice dance performance, and thought it was really brave for Joannie Rochette to keep on practicing and skating under the circumstances, just to name a few, but I heard a lot of stuff I thought was so empowering. I wish I knew more of the athlete's names so I could say specifically who, but I'm sure every one of them had their own story.

The Olympic games as a whole turned out so well, and the closing ceremony with the mime was adorable. It's great that we were able to make fun of our technical malfunction rather than make it into a bad thing.

Also, thank you USA for giving us a totally awesome final hockey game! You guys were fantastic! To make it even better, there are all kinds of epic Axis Powers Hetalia-style Canada VS. America hockey pictures popping up now, and it's so cool.

To sum up, thank you for being wonderful participants, countries of the world. You were all so good and I really enjoyed watching!

journal, happy!
