"Ah, I'm so glad I can regenerate, otherwise I'd be covered in bruises. No pain no gain, right?" Faye has taken up an empty couch today, after finally getting some time to herself after her training session.

"Ah, kind of an unrelated question, but... If you were immortal, or had a really long lifespan, how would you spend it?"

"Regeneration? Ah, ya got a little troll mojo in ya, eh girl?" The mage laughs, refraining from the obvious contination of what would otherwise be a rather corny pickup-line.

"Hmm... bein' immortal... dat's a tough one, yah..." Jin'dar sinks into a comfy semi-crouch, one finger scratching a few random sigils in the dirt at his feet, before the troll frowned a bit and wiped them out. A habit of his when pondering things, it would seem.

"Well, dey say ya nevah really stop learnin'... mebbe I try ta be furtherin' me magical studies. Probably nevah gonna be good as Medivh - dat mon was born wit' magic in de blood - but I t'ink mebbe in time enough I'd be wise enough in de arcane ta get a bit o' notice in me own right not far off from de kinda fame an' rev'rence dat he got."

"I doubt vampires are related," she replies, and not in a very serious way.

Those few sigils draw out a little curiosity in Faye, who sits up a little more.

"They're right, for the most part. I would think the little advantage of living forever might give you more than enough time to catch up. Maybe train in fighting skills too."

The symbols were largely irrelevant, as they were glyphs meant to enhance ones magical ability, and thus useless if not properly applied in both incantation and location.

"Fightin'? Yah, mebbe, mebbe dat would work, too... well, mebbe not in Azeroth, but othah places. De way my world's magic goes, it takes a lot o' focus an' intellect'al trainin' ta use magic, an' it's kinda hard ta keep dat kinda focus of de mind if ya spent too much time focusin' on ya body. It be a kinda balance, y'see. Ya kin be strong an' tough, carryin' round heavy plate armor an' swords an' such, or ya can have de agile mind and concentration ta cast pow'rful spells, but not bot' of dem at once."

A pause, as one of her earlier words comes back to mind. He picks at the tip of one tusk in thought.

"What was dat t'ing ya said jus' now... 'vampire'? Nevah heard o' dem kinda t'ings where I be from."

"Hmm, that seems to be the rule in a lot of worlds. Whether that's the case in mine or not, I wouldn't know for sure. Magic isn't well known back home, and most don't even believe it exists at all."

Now, she doesn't mind explaining at all. "We're a type of undead that happens to feed on the blood of sapient life. Sure, I could feed on animals, but that isn't as effective."
A pause. Yep, non-evil vampire, here. "I probably should mention that it doesn't have to be in fatal amounts."

Learn, travel and maybe do a bit of recreational meddling. *Triv gives her an easy grin. You'd never think she was the one who'd caused those bruises that Faye was complaining about.* It's worked for me so far.

No worries, she isn't complaining too much. Besides, if Faye has a sword, she should lean to use it effectively.

"Hmm, something tells me that I might do a bit of meddling myself." Learning and travelling is going to be pretty much a given for her too.

Everybody winds up meddling sooner or later - it's just how they choose to make their mark that's in question. Hopefully you'll know to look at both the long-term and short-term effects before you start anything large-scale, though.

"...Thankfully, I'm not too impulsive, unlike a certain alternate of mine."

"They say no lesson is well learned unless it pushes you past your limits, darling." Fuu approaches Faye, familiar enough with Hikaru's own training regimes to recognize the aftermath of a heavy training session.

"I believe I may have already answered this question before, but I would seek out new venues to enrichen the mind."

"Very true, darling. Care to join me, beautiful?" Faye smiles warmly at her approach, then sits up to allow her girlfriend some space beside her.

"Ah, actually, you did already answer it." It was more directed at mortals who she's not quite familiar with, but never-mind.

"But of course, my dear." Fuu returns the smile, taking the offered seat next to Faye.

"Ah, I understand. You sought answers from others you hadn't met before then?"

She puts an arm around Fuu, making it apparent that she's taken the time to shower before heading into the Nexus.

"Yes, that's right. Well, them and mortal friends I haven't asked this particular question."

"Working. Some careers don't really allow for vacations. If you're lucky, you find someone to spend the bits of down-time you can manage with." The gentleman in the dark-teal suit with eyes like waves at sunset and sun-yellow hair is reclining on a convenient black settee. "Certain types of pain can be interesting, I suppose, but I can't say I have ever had a need to regenerate."

"I guess I'm lucky, then. Though, work doesn't take much of my time up..."

"Hmm... can you regenerate?" Hey, this is the Nexus, after all.

"My particular line of work is never-ending. As long as intelligent beings exist in my world, I will have a job. I don't enjoy it, but it is necessary."

"My brothers are the only ones who can actually injure me, and as they haven't had cause, I honestly wouldn't know. I assume I can, given the tales of other universes."
