Harvey is once again sitting in a corner. And once again, he doesn't turn his head when he speaks.

"It seems like I'm going to be living here, and I'll need a job.

"So, does the Nexus need lawyers? I was a prosecuter, but I'm flexible about that. And I'm open-minded--even the weirdest crimes and clients don't bother me."

You might have some trouble with that.

*The advice comes from a tall woman (over six foot, easily) who carries a tumbler of something blue and luminous in one hand. The other appears to be splinted.*

There aren't many laws here, and people who try to impose them... don't last long. You might do well as a legal consultant, although you'd need to brush up on the laws outside your Facet. And welcome to the Nexus, by the by.

"Sounds like a plan." He chuckles. "And thanks."

You're welcome.

*She looks him over--the scars are taken in as calmly as the rest. There is a distinctly measuring quality to her gaze, though, as if she were sizing him up for something.*

Out of curiosity, where are you from?

"Gotham City. Why?"

"Not long, but long enough. I was thinking of helping people who need lawyers outside the Nexus itself."

"True, but at least I have experience. If only in my world, and my country."

He smiles upon hearing his name. "You from Gotham?"

"I don't need anyone, but I appreciate the offer."

The small artist in the baggy clothes was lounging on a couch, sewing a little fabric bird. Pea soup green with black spots on the wings, two shiny black button eyes. She pulled the thread tightly, each stitch small and precise.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence, then."

The visible half of his face smiles.

She grinned back at him. "Anytime. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not good at accepting help at all. But I really don't get in much trouble. With the law." That last bit needed to be clarified, because Victor did get in an awful lot of trouble otherwise.

"That's good."

Coin flip time. "My name's Harvey, by the way. Harvey Dent. It's a pleasure."

"I'd rather not."

His other option is serial killer, right at the moment. And anyway, the coin came up good heads--being a lawyer is a good guy thing to do, right?

"The coin came up good. I'm staying a lawyer."

He always obeys the coin, now. It's only fair.
