Serious question, this time.

Mornbein's sitting on what looks like a Tyranid hive tyrant this time, in lieu of her usual Transformer or couch back perch. One hand is absently scritching the hideous monster's tough chiton as it tries to stay awake against the urging of a massive recent meal ( Read more... )

A grin peeks its way over Mornbein's pale face. "Blackout 'n her kids were cleanin' out an invasion, 'n I run into this guy the click he came outta the pit. Now I'm stuck with 'im. Ain't he cute?"

The Tyrant, for his part, has noticed Seasparkle, and Mornbein's feelings about her, so now he is studying the funny little thing that the boss doesn't understand but thinks is amusing.

"Somebody got EMPd." Mornbein's grin fades. "Not one'a our kids, so don't worry."

*Towby snickers* Yeah sounds like fun; what'd you call him?

*Seasparkle trills a little at the hive tyrant but remains firmly attached to Towby's body...not going anywhere thankyouverymuch*

*Towby's optics flash in startlement at that* Who? *she asks slightly relieved it wasn't one of the 'kids'*

"Fred." Mornbein shrugs and pauses her scritching, and her new pet turns his massive head to give her a quizzical look as he notices a sudden blank in their link. Though since the link's still there, and the last thing he was ordered was to be still and quiet, he continues to do so. "'N I can't say out here. It's better some fraggers think they've ben iced."

For a certain Waltz, there's no such thing as a hideous monster. So the presence of the large - and to his mind cute and cuddly - creature draws Mistral in like a moth to a candle flame.

Which means he ends up hearing the question, and fidgets uncomfortably. "It depends on who they were. Sometimes forgetting for a while can be a good thing."

Mornbein looks down from her perch. "They won't ever remember. It's all ben wiped but a few names they kin put ta faces."

Mistral wants his own monster to sit on, and summons Sealion so he can flutter up to perch on the big ice monster's head. He gives Sealion scritches as he replies. "Then they're already not the same person any more. All you could do by telling them things they were before would be to upset them. They won't ever really be that again."

Mornbein regards the ice monster with amusement, which makes Fred tilt his head and study the other creature with interest.

Then he and his mistress both shift their gaze to look at Mistral. "That's one line 'a thought we're considerin'."
