"Hypothetically, say you love someone so much that if they died, surely you would. Though by loving them, you're putting them in the most immense danger they could ever be in. Even so, they don't seem to have any sort of fear and pursue you without hesitation. How do you convince them that it is in their best interest to stay away from you?"

"She would agree with you."

Like these questions are ever hypothetical. And yeah, she's a vampire too, but of a different kind. Just one of those different universe things.
"So... what is this danger, to be exact?" Himself?

Edward can tell right off the bat that she's a vampire. He may not completely recognize the scent or the feel of her, but he knows.

"The danger lies in both myself and the world I'm involved in."

Well, that makes two of them, since she can tell he's a vampire too.
"I see. Does she know about your... uh, problem, yet?" Well, she's not about to ask straight out something like 'Does she know you're a vampire?'

"Yes. She does. There isn't a fiber in her body that is scared of me it seems." He sighs.

One of the smaller robots (no taller than a human, if far heavier) looks around, grumbling an answer without thinking. "I know it ain't any easier from the outside..." And then, realising he's given a rather unhelpful answer, he sighs and turns around properly. "If I was in your place, though? I'd either tell them straight-out to back off, or I'd leave."

Leaving tends to be the easiest solution where stubborn and unwanted attentions are concerned - though of course in Iceberg's case, 'love' was never a factor.

He winces at the answer. "I left her once. I swore I would never do it again." He chooses not to go into the details out of politeness.

"She's seen what I'm capable of and yet she still returns day after day and wishes me back." Upon closer investigation, there may be a hint of adoration to each word he speaks.

Well, Iceberg's not one to advise breaking a genuine promise, though he's frowning as he studies Edward now. "So what are you trying to do, stick around without getting too close?"

"I'm there purely because I love her and couldn't go on if something happened to her. Her protection is what I live for." He stops there, eyes adverted.

"I'd say stay away from them. But if your interest is as stubborn as my Red, they'll insist on making sure you're okay. I swear some people need to learn that self preservation's more important than the lives of those they care about."

"Staying away from her is like ignoring my most carnal of urges. I left her once and I never will again. Her protection is my main objective in this life." He just wishes she cared about her safety as much as he does. He would add in that he could keep her safe without her ever knowing, but in his mind, that's a given.

Sherry smirked a little. "Then teach her how to take care of herself. Stay by her side but don't make her feel useless."

He quiets then, a frown making its way onto his features. He could teach her to take care of herself, but that would require something he refuses to do. "I'll... remember that. Bella is never one to appreciate the damsel in distress role."

"Ye gods . . ." Sweeney winces. "Your love life sounds almost as bad as mine."

This earns a chuckle from Edward, low and throaty. "My condolences."

"They made a bloody opera about mine, with emphasis on the 'bloody'."

He smirks and nods. Oh, he's familiar with the opera. He's seen it many a time. "You sound particularly pleased about the outcome." He may or may not be being sarcastic. One can never tell.
