Sweeney sighs and looks around at everyone. "Have you ever wanted revenge?" he asks. "If so, did you get it--and did getting it help?"

"You're lucky. Revenge ruined what little was still good in my life."

In response, Sweeney opens his collar. There is a fresh, ugly scar across his neck. It's not the sort of thing you generally survive.

"You had your life, didn't you?"

"We all deserve to die," Sweeney mutters bitterly. "Ah, well."

"If someone shouldn't die because they're guilty, they deserve to die because they aren't. Death will be a relief.

"Of course, this is me saying that, and I'm the nastiest fellow you could hope not to meet."

"Either way, we all deserve to die. And is your 'Megatron' a cannibal?"

"My neighbor was a baker, and even crazier than I was. Made a tidy profit making corpses into meat pies, she did."

He's almost as callous as she is, trust me.

"I got a taste for them, by the end. Goes to show how crazy I am."
