A female Transformer stumbles in, before flopping on the ground. It's apparent that she's been through the wringer, if the claw marks, and huge hole in her armor are anything to go by. She has a bit of a transparancy to her though, and fades from fully visible to nearly unseen ( Read more... )

One moment there's no one standing by her feet.

And the next there is.

"It can be hard sometimes," says the white, red, and black mech, giving her a look of concern. Then, gently, "But... I'd say your spark's out."

Showtime blinks as the mech appears, before tilting her head a little. "I guess that explains some stuff..." She frowns, a look of concentration, and then defeat, crossing her features, "You wouldn't happen to know who I am, would you?" She's not trying to be smug, she honestly doesn't know, or doesn't remember.

"Showtime," he says softly, touching her foot so that he's sure she can feel the gentle reassurance that he's projecting at her. It's tinged with concern at the damage to her spark image, but he's got to gain her trust before he can do anything about helping her. This femme may not be from a reality even remotely close to the one that he usually serves and originally came from, but she's still a lost and hurting spark and the Allspark Ferryman can't leave her to wander.

At the touch, Showtime sits up, frowning, before recognition dawns on her faceplates. "That name...it's familiar...it's mine?" Her expression turns to one of concentration, "Someone was telling me something...to hold on...hold on to what though?" She's still confused, and a bit uncertain, but she's not afraid of the mech by her feet. She gives him a curious look, doorwings perked in a way that shows just how curious she is.

"It's yours." He hunkers down and gives her a reassuring grin. "And I'm Ratchet."

Then he lifts his brow ridges slightly as he considers her question. "To life, maybe? The people we leave behind do that pretty often."

Showtime nods, smiling. "Nice to meet you, Ratchet..." Her expression changes to one of confusion moments later, "huh..."

"What is it?" he asks, still projecting reassurance.

Showtime's expression remains confused, "Why do they do that? I don't understand..."

Ratchet sighs. "Because they don't want us to go."

"Oh..." Showtime's expression becomes sad, before she comments, "I hope they're doing alright...whoever they are...they sounded young..."

"With time they'll probably heal." Ratchet reaches out to put the comforting hand back on her foot, in the meantime looking to see if Showtime had been spark-bonded with anyone while she was alive.

"I hope so..." Showtime winces and rubs at the edges of the hole in her armor gently. She wasn't bonded to anyone in life, but had been an interface partner for her universe's Sunstreaker at one point.

"Yeah. They'll heal." A bit of his sadness for her leaks out where she'll catch it.

"Now that you know you're dead you can probably get rid of that," he says, nodding at the hole.

Showtime blinks as she picks up on the sadness, and something similar to instinct causes her to go into action. She moves closer to Ratchet, and gently wraps her arms around him in a hug. "Please don't be sad...it doesn't suit you at all..."

She blinks a bit, before glancing down at the hole. "...How do I do that?"

He pats her back gently, his feelings, thoughts, and memories open to her as they are to those with whom he shares the Allspark. She'll see memories of the war, time on Earth, loving a tall femme named Optimus Prima, and how it had felt to feel nearly his entire family die in one day. The memories no longer hurt; he's been in the Allspark with those family members for a long time now. Rather the sadness comes from the thought that Showtime never got to experience the closeness of a sibling bond, or the constant companionship of a bond with a mate.

"Well," he says softly. "You don't have a shell anymore. So there can't be damage to it, can there?"

Showtime is a bit overwhelmed by the feelings, thoughts, and memories, and pulls away after awhile.

She blinks, clearly confused.
