It's a man. On a couch. And over there, another man, on a couch. They could almost be related, though the golden haired one looks human at least. The other one has a few feathers and a long, furry tail, and he's the only one who bothers with a question

There's a clump of young Black Mages watching Kuja. He looks like their grampa! But they remember to be careful about alternates.

He notices them, but doesn't react. They're not the only people who won't come close.

And they waddle a little closer. And then a little closer still, blinking at him.

Now, that's interesting... He'll keep on not looking.

A liiitle closer. And then they start to whisper among themselves.

Not looking, and trying his best to work out what they're saying ...

It's posible to make out some fragments of it.

"... doesn't recognize us.. " ".. not grampa.." "... alternate..." "... but is he a nice alternate..?.."

"..." Suspicious! Not dangerous, of course, but he's still getting a bad feeling about this.

At least they didn't try to ID him by glomping?

"Oh ok." The Magelets droop a bit and clump closer together.

"We're supposed to be careful about alternates," says Teo from somewhere in the back.

"They're not all nice like grampa," adds Tavi.

Does he even need to say anything else?

He'll get a bunch of sheepish poggles nodding at him.
