A rose by any other name....

There's a red, grey, and white Transformer in the nexus, frowning quizzically at one hand, which is holding a flower pot containing one of those forced mum plants that they sell in the autumn. He contemplates the orange flowers for a few moments, then lowers his hand and looks up.

"What is this?"

In a soothing voice, a woman in a nurse's coat replied, "Why, that's a pot of flowers," silently pondering how this strange machine could be used to her advantage.

She too gets a silent contemplation of several moments before he speaks again, his gravelly voice uncertain.

"What are 'flowers'?"

Perhaps biological organisms were unfamiliar where the machine came from. Interesting. Perhaps its value of organic life was lacking. She could use that.

"They're a type of what we call "plants." A variety of organic life, but different from humans or animals."

"...'Organic' and 'life', I know. But what are 'humans' and 'animals'?" He frowns down at her intently.

"Judging from your question I think that's your brain."

The response gets run through his processors several times, and then he shakes his head. "That doesn't make any sense."

"That's because it has to be inside your head. Try putting that brain of yours in your head."

"Do you have a malfunction?"

"That would be a pot of flowers. Don't recognized what kind they are though." Bumblebee says, popping a can of Energon open and taking a sip.

"...You're like me." His gaze drops to the pot in his hand. "...There's more than one kind?"

jedibee November 15 2008, 00:20:12 UTC
"Uh yeah, different species of them."

"Er... what's 'species'?"

"They're flowers... where'd you find them?" She attempts to get a good look at the flowers from her vantage point.

"Someone gave them to me." Another human. He studies her curiously.

Well, a human with advanced prosthetics. She doesn't mind being looked at, as long as he doesn't draw attention to her non-organic parts. "Well, maybe they're a token of friendship. At least, that's my guess."

"What is 'friendship'?" He transfers his attention back to the flowers and frowns at them.

Different section of Nexus, and still...

"You again?" That's it. This is really the last time I'm coming here. Skywarp gives the Nexus at large an unamused look, as much as to say 'I know your game.'

He gives the dark mech a quizzical look. "...Have we met?"

agent_skywarp November 19 2008, 00:03:47 UTC
Ah. Not so much 'him' again - just this again.

"...Obviously not. I must have got the wrong you. So sorry, just carry on..." ...flower-collecting?

Oh, Nexus, please. It must like him.

"The wrong me?" He frowns and absently sets the flower pot onto a nearby fire escape. "What do you mean?"
