Here, have a busy kid, burying himself in his studies... The books on the table of the Nexus café are rather above the level that might be expected for someone his age (though little Xehanort wouldn't have it any other way), and have titles with words like spectrum and luminance in them. He flips through the pages like an old pro ( Read more... )

After a while a Nobody will wander his way over to the kid. He'll take a brief glance at the contents of the book that currently open before he actually gets around to the question at hand.

"I suppose it depends one how one defines 'favorite thing'."

The book? There are diagrams, carefully drawn. There are calculations, but from some of the piles of notes (and odd screwed up page) on the table with everything else, there's some suggestion that he's not getting on too well with them.

He looks up, to reply: "Something that makes you more h-" Yipe, he remembers who he's talking to, but finishes anyway with a look aside - "happy than anything else. Or close to that," he tries to correct and add. He still doesn't get how that little problem works.

Zexion would be more than willing to help Xehanort with them if asked. Of course, who knows if Xehanort would be willing to accept his help but the possibility is still there.

"The thing that would make me happiest would be to exist once again. But in order to do that, I'd need what I lost quite some time ago." Namely, his heart.

He's not wanted to trouble Ienzo with them, but here? The option's certainly there... hmm.
"But - you're here. I'm talking to you. How can you - not exist...?" Yup, doesn't get it as yet. That's something he's not going to run across in too many books, after all. They haven't even been written. "What does that mean?"

"I can't drink it anymore." A sour looking Decepticon femme hoves into sight.

"No." A world of bad temper packs itself into the word.

Faye can't help but be curious about the books, even attempting to sneak a peek at any open books herself when she thinks he's not looking.

"For one thing, it can be very dangerous if I'm not careful."

"If I'm not careful enough, it consumes me." Of course, Julian isn't speaking literally. He doesn't even spare a look for the books.

"In what sense?" he asks, scribbling away as he does so.

"It's like every project I'm involved in the creation of has the potential to possess me." Yes, he realizes just how crazy that may sound. Julian cocks his head to the side and then decides to dare a look at the books. Interesting.

That earns a raised eyebrow, before the kid just laughs and goes "I think I know what you mean." He's just hoping it's not literal. Not after some things he's heard.
