When a new arrival enters the Nexus, it is usually under circumstances outside their control. Perhaps they wander through the wrong door; perhaps they were unlucky enough to be killed; or perhaps they were merely snatched from time and space and ended up here, in this center of the multiverse.
These circumstances can therefore be said to bring a general theme to one's reaction to their arrival into the Nexus. Shock, awe, terror, and/or disbelief are not unusual, followed swiftly by incredulity or,oon rare occasions, outright fury.
Thus, when a new individual merely glances around at his surroundings, nods thoughfully, and then tells the small dog that has wandered up next to him "I told you I could do it, didn't I?", it is probably cause for comment.
It's also cause for comment that, to anyone with any supernatural senses whatsoever, this individual is radiating power on a scale that is nigh-ridiculous. It's like looking into the sun from a distance of half an inch.
Otherwise, however, he's quite a quite ordinary individual, about twenty one or so, mildly handsome in a scruffy way, with curly blond hair (of the like usually found in a rennaisance painting), a beaten-up suede leather jacket hanging just below knee level, and jeans which have not merely seen better days but better centuries. He is a personage, in fact, with the word STUDENT written all over him.
In glowing letters, in fact.
He turns, and glances at the sign. Hmm. A question. All right, then...
"What's the best way to convince an Angel that he really can't help you study for your history exam by correcting your textbook?"
He thinks for a moment, realises that the answer to such a question probably isn't common knowledge, and adds another, slightly more mundane one.
"What's the cheapest pizza delivery service in London? I could really do with one right now..."
