Weary and nursing a sore wrist while muttering curses under her breath the redhead fails to notice her surroundings right away. Rotating the injured wrist the soldier grimaces and shakes her hand irritably. Despite the tenderness there is no real damage done, thankfully. Still, the knowledge that she narrowly escaped doing potentially serious harm ( Read more... )

A pause. "You expect people to answer that?" The way she holds her wrist is worrisome, though... Subtly, trying not to pry too much, he tries to get a sense of her emotions.

"They will or they won't. There is nothing forcing them to do it as far as I know." Eleven remarks after eyeing the stranger. While her outward composure is calm her underlying emotions are chaotic and unsettled.

He smiles a little grimly, using the Force to check on the state of her wrist. "Want to talk about it?"

"Not really. I just got probation for something stupid, and now I'm being treated like a child with all the freedoms of one minus the fun." She grouses with a snort, oblivious to his inspection. Her wrist is fine for all intents and purposes aside from a dull throb that will soon fade. It had been twisted in a rather uncomfortable fashion when a bag of solidly frozen meat swung around too far and made the bones grind together. No damage done, but it had spooked her nonetheless.

There's a rather large mechanical avian perched up on the back of a big couch off to one side. It's not a bird of prey, however. Rather, it looks more like the kind of relatively harmless busy body birds one finds flitting about trees and rocky cliffs, building nests ( ... )

"You will not share your own humiliation, yet you have no qualms in telling the story of a former colleague's disgrace. How admirable. I'm sure he would appreciate you broadcasting it to complete strangers to draw attention away from your own shame ( ... )

Communique appears undaunted by the accusation for the most part, her optics merely glowing softly as she uses Eleven's response to match voice wave prints against previously recorded data. "His behavior was uncalled and unprofessional, even if he only meant it to be heard by those closest to him. His mistake was used for stellar cycles after by officers to remind their cadets that even if you have issues with your superiors, they should be kept under wraps until they can be properly discussed in a private meeting. But the trainee and the officer he insulted were never mentioned by name ( ... )

"It was a mistake voicing such opinions at all. If he truly didn't want the remarks to get back to his superior he should have kept them to himself. Given the uncertain nature of trust it is unwise to believe your friends, who can easily become your enemies, are capable of keeping such secrets to themselves should things turn sour in your relationship ( ... )

Faye isn't likely to know who this is, but neither will Eleven, right? She seems to be walking oddly, as if one leg is heavier than the other, which just happens to be the case.

"Does falling flat on my face due to not being used to having a metal arm and a leg count? Bloody Nexus." Yep, she's still LOL'd with the automail even now.

((Arg, typo))

"Yes, it counts. I guess." She replies, blinking and studying Faye for a long moment. There is no hint of recognition in her eyes as she watches the awkward strides of the other. Instead there is an almost predatory glint in them, not much different than that of a raptor sizing up a rival or its next meal.

Why do you think she's keeping her distance? She's kinda unnerving... "Watch out for the LOL's they're a real pain..."

"LOLs?" Tilting her head to one side slightly Eleven blinks, the momentary lapse in concentration taming the expression in her eyes to polite indifference.

"Let's just say it involved a blessing from the god of muppets." This comes from a pale skinned teenage girl in a blue hooded cloak. Like others here, she's able to sense emotions.

"Sounds... interesting..." Blinking in obvious confusion but still attempting to be polite Eleven carefully observes the other girl without outright staring at her. Beneath the puzzlement, however, lies a large amount of bottled up anger and other, darker emotions.

"You don't want touch anything here if you don't know what they are." On the outside, she looks totally indifferent to the other girl, but knows there's something wrong here.

"I don't make it a habit of handling unfamiliar objects, but I'll keep that in mind." Whether Eleven sees her anger as wrong or not depends on her mood at any given time. She has carried it around for several years now and has found ways to tame it so that it doesn't run away with her.

"Serving probation for a crime that has never been fully explained in detail and then being mocked by my... co-workers for having to do manual labor generally reserved for orderlies and janitors." She admits with a sour expression.
