"Not really anonymous, but we won't tell!" She giggles a bit with a quirky grin. "I guess it's just a matter of how you yourself work. If you really only feel like you can choose one person, then you just have to ask yourself who...who you need more, maybe, or who you would miss more if they disappeared."
"Heh..." He scratched the back of his head in embarassment. "I haven't had a decent set of morals since I was nine. What others' think doesn't matter too much, I was hoping to gather some insight and analyze what the median of choice would be."
Ed winces and rubs at the back of his neck. "If you figure that one out, let me know. I'm dealing with my own version of that problem. And no, you're not limited to one."
And then because this is a version of his little brother, hair scruffing time! "So, how'd you find this place?"
"Uh, a door that was supposed to lead into a library." Ed shifts uncomfortably before addressing the whole multiple Edward thing.
"I'm what's referred to around here as an alternate. Sometimes there's multiple versions of people. Keeping track of which is which can be difficult sometimes."
All he could do at the moment was blink. "Alternate? I'm not kidnapped, then?" He gave Ed a worried look and is torn between running away and learning more. "This isn't the Gate, is it?"
"Den why choose, mon? If joo love dem both, an' dey love joo an' get on wit each udda well enough, den be wit both o' dem!" He nods, then tilts his head slightly. "I be de first Troll joo see befo'?"
Even though the accent was rough, Al still blushed at the bluntness of it's...It's? His? words. "Ah.. well...Yes. They get along well enough. Troll? That's the name of the chimera form?"
"I live with them. We were all childhood friends, and came back to each other after...some stuff happened." Al shifts a little uncomfortably.
"I mean, we're all aware of each other, and that's not the problem....I don't know." His eyes look off to the side. "One of us has a chance for a normal life, and two of us... We're dead to the general public. If anyone found out if we were alive...it wouldn't be good for us."

"It hasn't gone as far as love, exactly... But I've ended up choosing one girl to be with." She sighs a bit, doing a bit of her own fidgeting.
"Do they know about how you feel about them?"
