Hmm. That portal in the wall there looks suspiciously similar to the portal used by one Lily Forscythe.
But it isn't Lily who steps out of it. It's two girls, identical in height - one tanned and blonde with catlike, down-pointed ears, wearing that same skimpy cowgirl outfit Lily had on the last time she was here, one white-skinned (literally) and purple-haired with robotic ears and "horns" on her forehead, two curved lines coming down from her eyes and across the sides of her cheeks, clad in a skintight purple and black bodysuit.
It may be worth noting that while the beast girl is pretty much flat as a board, the robotic one looks like she would probably tip over from the weight of her chest were she an organic being.
It also may be worth noting that the robot girl has, overall, a much more pleasant expression on her face. They're both smiling and both cute, but that beast kid is scary-cute, rather than pleasant-cute.
"Huh, so this is the Nexus." Blonde beast props a hand on her hip, gives the Sign the hairy eyeball. "Guess Lily wasn't kidding when she said it was obnoxious."
Robot girl looks like she agrees; her optics have dimmed in response to the glow of the Sign. "It's terribly bright."
"You have photosensory regulators, Zefie. I don't." Beast rolls her eyes, paces over to stand in front of the Sign, facing the Nexus. "So, uh--"
"I am X-ATM092 'Zefie', an experimental CAST model built on the planet Moatoob and former assistant to the crew of the rogue ship 'Landeel'," Zefie cuts in, "and this is Kenko Apollon, otherwise known as Saku, a Guardian of the Dagora City branch."
Kenko reaches over, slams Zefie's lower jaw upward to shut her mouth with a force that would have broken any organic being's face. "Yeah, what she said. Anyway, d'you think it's really so bad to want to unite all the different races in a universe? The Guardians are having a hell of a time getting ours all united. Pfeh, stupid Illuminus, stupid conflict, stupid damn everything." She looks like she wants to spit, but doesn't.
((These two are, indeed, from Lily's timeline - this introduction, however, comes before the events that Lily's stated in which she has destroyed the Illuminus. Their development will be as if the Illuminus events are still occurring. Time has no meaning, yay.))
