Captain Jack Sparrow, bathed and trimmed, lounges in a chair by the Nexus equivalent of a kitchen table. His hair's now free of its dreadlocks and only chin-length; his beard's kept trim and neat. He's dressed elegantly - if eccentrically - in white button-down, tailored waistcoat, jeans, and combat boots ( Read more... )

Captain Jack Harkness is highly attracted to Sparrow walking by. He stops and gives Captain Sparrow a wide grin.

"Sometimes I think I'm still looking for it," he says.

Ianto will understand. It's Jack freaking Sparrow.

"When did the clock start? Are we timing from birth, or the moment of self-awareness?" Don't pay that any mind, she was like that all the time. Except for when she was sleeping. She had stompy boots on, and loose clothes. And a hat. Can't ever forget the hat.

"Guess it starts the moment you realize you don't got one."

"I don't have one. I have six or seven places that I feel safe, and those're scattered, just in case. They were easier to find once I found the Nexus, so I guess it took seventeen years. From birth. Because I don't remember when I realized." Just like she had four PINpoints: one at her belt loop, one in the pocket of her jeans, one in the pocket of her jacket, and one in her bag. Good for quick escapes. That's one thing she was pretty good at. She wasn't a fast runner, and she got tired easily, but she could make some pretty awesome escapes if her recklessness ever got out of hand.

((Fixed!))

"Few hundred years," says a voice that doesn't seem to have anyone attached to it, though there's suddenly a sea breeze blowing and carrying the sound of ocean and gulls.

Oookay, that's vaguely creepy. And Jack hadn't thought there was much left to unsettle him. Might just be Calypso playing silly buggers, though.

"Least you found it?"

"Eventually. Yeah." The breeze swirls as a form solidifies in the middle of it, and then dies down to reveal a young woman with violet eyes and hair.

She tosses back her purple satin cape and picks a bit of lint off her black velvet knee breeches, those eyes that seem older than she does studying him curiously. "First Tia Dalma, 'n now you. There goes the neighborhood."
