He's looking to be in a significantly better mood today, with some new clothes that are pretty much the same as his old stuff, minus the giant bloodstain on the front

Wow, she is accomplished! "That is pretty impressive. All I've been so far is a bodyguard, really." He recently got a new job, but it didn't really bear mentioning.

She smiles. "It's not so special, with the war. You end up doing whatever's needed. And I've known a few bodyguards over the years. It's good work. how do you like your employer?"

Actually blushing at that, he turns away slightly. "Well, I liked him a lot." He says, deciding to leave out the 'we were lovers' bit, though from his reaction, it's probably pretty obvious.

Currently LOL'd into a cat-girl, Faye is kinda fighting the urge to play with his ponytail.

"Oh, that's easy, I hang out here and talk to people, spend time risking my life for now good reason doing things that'd get my adrenaline going... Except I'm immortal, so I'm not really risking a thing." There's one other thing... but she feels he counts as polite company, so she'll omit that. Oh, she tends to flirt with particularly attractive people.

The most the flirting would do in this case is fluster poor Ran (which could be amusing in its own right). He doesn't hold much attraction to the female sex after being a shudo boy (young, male lover to a samurai) for so many years.

He tilts his head slightly. "I cannot understand doing dangerous things just for the sake of the thrill. Usually, one wants to accomplish something when they put themselves at risk, right?"

She shrugs. "Life's just no fun if you don't take risks, besides, it's not as if I stay dead if I die. At least Nova's training me, 'cause then I could do more."

"Life can be plenty fun without risks." He pauses. "But, I understand what you mean. Danger for the sake of danger is not necessarily a smart idea, though. At least for normal humans who can easily be injured or killed." He adds that last part because of her apparent immortality.

Blink. Another blink. Aaaaaaand one more for good measure. It's... a giant metal thing. And it's talking.

"Um, okay?" Destroying things isn't exactly what Ranmaru considers socially acceptable, but to each their own. Besides, he's just trying to fight the urge to go hide under something so he doesn't get stepped on, here.

Another time she would have been amused by the little organic's reaction, but right now she just glowers down at him wearily and rubs the back of the tiny chibi scorpion bot hidden in her hand. "You know about the AV feild, right?"

"I be a hunter. Me and my baby rapta, Sukisuki, we hunt fo' food, fo' people who de Warcheif wan' dead." He shrugs and grin. "I like ta spend my free time with mah brothas and sistas."

Ranmaru's not quite so leery about this guy any more. By now, he's seen much stranger things, and is slowly coming to accept it as something relatively normal.

"An army marches on it's stomach, right? That's a good way to contribute."
