"At what point is it no longer possible to fix political problems from within the system. What would you do in such a situation?"

"And how would you convince someone very stubborn that your home is no longer safe and you must leave, when they seem determined to stay no matter the consequences?"

"Sometimes, trying to get someone to leave won't work. I'd be happier if someone was here with me but, unfortunately, since she's a soldier, her loyalty to the military and commanding officer has to come first." Ed shrugs.

Kalinka nods. "I am sorry to hear that you have to be apart from your friend because of this."

"This is not the same. Papa does not want to leave the Citadel, but the government has demanded to examine all of the robots there. We can not allow this. Some of them are illegal and have been for a very long time. If the government were to find this out, they would be destroyed. And it is also likely we would be arrested."

"My brothers and the others that live with us will not be able to defend the Citadel if the Maverick Hunters are sent against us. There is no choice but to evacuate to the Nexus, where we can not be found. Or if we were we could not be attacked because of the field."

Ed winces. "Any particular reason they're illegal? And last I checked, people here tend to frown on people trying to drag others back to their own realities against their will."

"They do not have the coding that would force them to obey orders from humans."

Ed twitches. "Yeah, probably a good idea to get them over here."

Kalinka nods. "Two have already gone. The other two that would be in trouble have been trying to help convince Papa to leave the Citadel. I think some of it is because he does not like the idea of moving in with the ones we will have to live with. He still does not trust them because of old problems, but we are all on the same side now."

Ed nods. "I can understand the distrust because of old problems thing actually... But I've learned when to, if not put it aside, at least ignore it."

She nods. "Yes. Papa needs to learn to do this also. And if he is not leaving soon, I think I will see if Blues would mind tying him up to make sure he comes with us." Or she could just point out to her brothers that he'd be in danger if he stayed, and see what they did. They still had First law, after all.

"He may not react real well to being tied up, you realize," Ed says, fidgeting.

"Better or worse than he would react to the authorities storming our home and dragging him off to prison?"

"Point," Ed acknowledges. "I've just got issues involving being tied up."

"I have a few of those as well. But if it is necessary..," Kalinka trails off and shakes her head. "It is not likely to be so. It is possible to teleport someone using the PINPoints just by holding onto them."

Ed nods. "I know. It's how I got my brother here and how I brought my girlfriend here for a visit once."

"That may be the best option. Of course," she smiles slightly, "first I will have to pick the lock on the door of the room he has locked himself in."

"Yes. I should go do that now that I have had a moment to calm down. Thank you."
