Perhaps the recent presence of alternate Jubilee's in the Nexus has convinced this particular one to visit this place again

He nods, "I've been very busy, how is your life treating you Jubilee?"

"A couple of big changes in my life. But the change has been good so far."

Here's one of those Nobodies that's been hanging around lately... She might be familiar.

"I've learned some things don't change much." Like her luck.

"If you believe that, it will be true."

"Maybe." Can she tell who it is yet? The voice could be a clue.

Um Yah. The whole Jubes can see auras thing would be a bigger clue. Perhaps Jubes is not reacting because she sees no reason to react.

"Nope. Definitely. If you believe your life is stuck the way it is, it will be. The only person that can change things is you."

"The biggest change?" A black furred man looks up from a nearby couch. "I would have to say fatherhood. The thing that I have learned about myself? That my presence is essential to the life and sanity of at least two other individuals who should be quite capable of watching out for themselves."

"Fathers are often important like that."

[random_xtras]

"One of these people is actually one of my own father figures." He ruffles his fingers through the papers and paperlike things in the briefcase beside him, then pulls out a yellow highlighter and starts livening up the paper in his hands.

"Family often depend on each other. It is the way it should be."

"I learned the difference between 'affect' and 'effect'." That's Victor, for sure. The little joker.

Hey it is the Victor! Jubes hasn't really chatted with Victor for a while.

"You mean the 'E'?" And a joke for a joke.

Yay for seeing Jubes!

"It's not the only difference!" She lowered her voice, mock-amazed.

[in_jubilation]

"Oh right. There is an 'A' too." Warning Victor, playful Jubes at full speed ahead.

"The biggest change by far is that I'm a mother now." Ali gives Jubilee a faint smile. "I've learned a lot of things about myself here. If I were to try and list them I think they'd sound contradictory."

[in_jubilation]

"I think that is a major change that I, so far, am glad not to face." Jubilee is content being a baby sitter and friend for now, after all.

"I know... when you start thinking of everything there is to know about yourself, you are like, whoa, that can't be me. But it is."

[vicioussweetie]

"Yes, there's no reason to rush into motherhood," says the woman who did just that. "Not everyone is ready at the same time. Or ever."

"I think someday. Just not right now." Jubilee is at least wise in this decision. At times. Other times, babies are sooooo cute it is tempting to think about having a family.

"How have you been faring Ali?" She knows she has not seen her friend in a while, chalk it up to new relationships monopolizing her time.
