Okay, I'm a little stumped. If you were a craftsman and needed to make someone a Valentine's Day present, what would you make them? I've been thinking about it and thinking about it but I just can't think of anything.

Well, that would depend on what that person likes. For a warrior, I might make a sword, if they were a weaver I might make them a loom or a new shuttlecock. If they like birds, I could make a birdhouse or carve a bird or make a piece of jewelry with a bird.

The important thing is to make them something that will tell them that you are interested in what they want or need, that you've paid enough attention to them to know what that is. Ask yourself if there's something that you can make them that will make their life better, whether because it makes their lives easier, because they have always wanted it, or just because it's beautiful and makes them smile.

Then if she has one, you might consider making something for her dog. If she doesn't, and she can manage one in her life, you might consider getting one.

If she can't have a dog in her life for one reason or another, why not make something dog-related, like a carving of one, until the day comes when she can?
