"It's not fair, unfortunately. Would you like a present?" Lily offers Daisy a box wrapped in silver paper that, despite looking as if it should be reflective, seems to suck light in rather than bounce it back off.

((the present is whatever Daisy most wants at that moment, if he accepts it.))

Daisy opens the present and it is a book of poetry, he smiles.

"Thank you, this is very kind of you. I wish I had something in return to give you."

"Don't worry about it. I just want to make everyone happy." Lily smiles back.

"I'm sad because my adopted child has hit her depression phase."

[vicioussweetie]

"Life is as fair as the people who live it." Ali gives him a concerned look. "What's wrong?"

[daisy_olson]

"My adopted child is going through a depression. She realizes that she had to leave her old life behind her and eventually everyone she's ever known will be dead."

[vicioussweetie]

"I'd imagine all of your kind have to go through that eventually. Why's that got you so mopey?"

[daisy_olson]

"I find it sad to have her entire life shattered over a broken love."

He smiles a grand fake smile.

"She wants to be renamed. I suppose we all have fake names too."

"Hopefully, no one's that naive."

[daisy_olson]

"You'd be surprised."

[million_names]

"You didn't think that, did you?"

[daisy_olson]

"I've lived long enough to realize that life isn't fair. However when I was truly alive in my fairy tale world I didn't believe it."
