She doesn't think about it. She wakes up from the nightmare still afraid, and activates the PINpoint to take her somewhere she feels safe

It's been a long time since either of them have been in the Nexus, hasn't it? "Well I think you already know my answer to the first question, but I'll say it anyway. My family makes me feel safe. As long as I know they're alright, I could be facing death and not care. They're my anchor, as I've probably told you before."
"And honestly," Hughes continues, going into a faux whisper of all seriousness, "my mother-in-law. Ishbal has nothing on this woman, let me tell you."
"That's beautiful." Aya hold open her arms, implicitly asking Hughes to come and cuddle. "My family helps me feel safe too. Especially Ran."
Aya covers her mouth as she giggles. She makes a lock and key gesture to her mouth, and puts on a serious look. "I'll never tell. Promise." She starts to giggle again.
Too long if you ask him. He's rather missed the place.
And Hughes complies, taking a seat upon that ever-present couch. "I've met him, haven't I? Big fellow, red hair and such, right?" At least he hopes he got that much right, it's been so long.
"Good, because if she knew that, I'd never hear the end of it from her. Not that I don't hear enough like that already. She gives a whole new meaning to the term motor-mouth."
((I really need to bring Hughes out more *sigh* Good Lord it's been awhile, almost forgot I had him))
((I am ashamed to admit that I am distracted D: School and other pups call my attention more than he does ;_; I must exercise with him come after finals! Yes, this is my New Year's Resolution! Bring Hughes back dangit!))
Hughes'll let her do it, has he ever refused before?
Hughes chuckled slightly, "No, no he isn't. That combination is always hard to forget. I know that white and red is rather iconic, so that's hard to forget too." Reference to Scar, but she doesn't necessarily have to get that.
"You would think that, wouldn't you?!" he sounds exasperated. "She just hates that I'm military is all. Can't seem to get past that," he grins in spite of himself. Oh how he loved to poke fun at his mother-in-law's intolerance of such people.
"So, what's up? Haven't seen you around in quite some time. Come to think of it, I haven't been around all that much either, so it's possibly my fault."
(( This is a resolution I really hope you keep. *hugs* Take care of yourself first, though. Good luck on finals. ^_^ ))
She makes a soft humming noise that is meant to be contemplative, but seems more sleepy. She started feeling safe and relaxed as soon as she heard his voice. Now that she is cuddling, she begins to realize how tired she is.
"It's wrong to judge people solely based on their jobs," she comments absently.
Aya raises her head. Asking about her time away from the Nexus wakes her up a bit. "No... um... I went through a really bad LOL. I haven't been in the Nexus for awhile."
((I will try my very best! *dramatic posing ensues* And thanks, I'm going to need it. Haven't even started on my English final and that's Monday @_@ *hugs back*))
And the fact that he's started to slowly rock back and forth probably doesn't help much either. He's had to do this with Elysia from time to time, he knows the signs when he sees them.
"I've had a tendency to think that. My grandfather was a farmer, lived there most of my life actually. I used to resent military men too, but he never did. Taught me that there's more to life than titles and work, he did," he returns, just as absently. He's going down memory lane for a bit, give him a few minutes and he should be fine.
"Oh?" he asks, quirking an eyebrow slightly at this. It's a simple statement, testing the waters to see if she'd like to talk about it or not.
((HAHAHAHA LAST PAPER IS FINISHED NAO :P Now I can focus on the final final ^^;))
"He was. He was like a father to me, taught me everything I know." There's no mention of Hughes knowing his actual father, but he'd rather not go into that if he can help it.
"Oh," he replied, seeming to understand the enormity of the word and what it meant as a LOL. He had spent time as an angel, yes, but this is the undead we're talking about here. Really no comparison.

She will immediately cuddle, if he let her. She associates his smell and touch with being safe.
"Yep. Ran has bright red hair and violet eyes. He is rather difficult to forget." Or, at least, she thinks so.
She makes an amused sounding snort. "She should be grateful to have a son-in-law who is so devoted to his wife and daughter."

"I love your grandfather. I know I never met him, but he taught you so much. He must have been a truly great man."
She holds him a bit tighter. "Zombies," she answer simply.

She lets her eyes fall closed. "I missed this."
((I am proud of you. <3 ))

"He was. Just wish Elysia could have met him. He died shortly after I married Gracia." He smiled slightly, "At least Gracia got to meet him."
Hughes simply smiled at that.

"That is good."
She shifts a little. "My dad used to do this for me sometimes when I had a bad dream. More often, I would go find Ran."
