"What's done in the dark will be brought to the light?"

He pauses for a moment thinking about the statement.

"Do you believe it?"

"Everything comes out eventually. Even Liberace."

"But I don't like the light."

He frowns.

"Have you ever meet a hunter?"

[vicioussweetie]

"Of course." Ali's helping to train one. But a big part of that is to only kill the bad vampires, and leave the useful ones alone. "Why, has someone been bothering you?"

[daisy_olson]

"I met a priest back in the day. He was a vengeful man, one vampire did something to him so we all have to die."

He grins,

"I went to sleep and woke up and well his family stayed in the business and I meet him again. Exactly the same despite the time difference, at least I see him that way. Even called him by his ancestor's name."

He looked a little worried,

"He said God was going to cut me down and that all my misdeeds will be brought to the light."

You'd be surprised how often it happens. Of course, it may not be until everyone involved is too dead to retaliate, but there's many a secret that has come out long after everyone involved assumed it was safely forgotten.

"But I don't like the light, it burns me."

He smiles a bit then laughs.

"Have you ever been hunted?"

A troublesome problem, indeed.

And yes, I have been, more times than I care to think about. *She gives a wolfish grin* Of course, clever prey has been known to hunt the hunters.

"I don't have time for hunters, I'm very busy dealing with my own kind."

"No matter how deep the pit you dig to bury the bodies, they'll always be uncovered in the end, and the fact you buried it makes it much worse."

"I don't bury people."

"Figure of speech. Granted, the cover-ups I have run across did involve a lot of people getting killed."

"What do they involve?"

"Only if the one attempting to conceal his crimes wants the truth to be found - consciously or not."

He nods.

"Have you ever been hunted?"

[darth_traya]

"By every faction in the galaxy at one time or another." The old woman says it matter-of-factly, like she was talking about how often it rains. "It's become somewhat droll."

Daisy smiled, he was probably much older then her.

"Are you still being hunted?"

"Lit'rally, metaphorically, religiously, or somethin' else I ain't thought of?"

He smiles,

"Religiously. God fanatics are really giving me a problem."

"I'd pull a guess f'r yeah. Or, rather, that what's done in th' dark ain't ever really th' dark at all, 'cause God sees anyway. Rather, there's no discovery 'cause there's no secret to be discovered."

He nods,

"I suppose."
