"That is the common perception, yes. And it certainly rarely solves the problem at hand."

For some reason the man looks more than slightly annoyed. Perhaps he has a thing against time-travel?

"I was asking hypothetically. I don't know how to turn back time."

A pause. "...Yet..."

"I would advise against learning. Time is not something to be played with lightly."

"That's no fun." Pout. "I just want to save the world."

"Fucking with time in general is always a bad thing."

"Why is that, do you think?"

Dante shrugs slightly. "Too many things can go wrong. You could make things worse by trying to make them better."

"Even when you're just going to do one little thing, and that one little thing is for the good of the entire world? I mean, I know exactly what I'd do, and exactly how I'd go about it, so is that really bad if it ends up being for the greater good? I mean..."

Yes, the kid's a chatterbox. :D

A bright white orb descends into the room, and the flash of light that follows reveals an extremely familiar form, which speaks in an extremely familiar voice.

"Don't even think about it."

"Wah!" And guess who just fell on their ass.

But not for long. After all, it requires him being on his feet for him to tackleglomp someone, and he's just tackleglomped the new arrival with a yelp of joy.

The only evidence of Kratos's surprise at this response was in the slight widening of his eyes. He managed to keep his balance despite being pounced upon, and commented in a moment in a measured tone, "You are considerably happier to see me than I would have anticipated."

"Hmph," is all Mithos says, as he's far too busy clinging and burying his face happily in Kratos' shirt to say anything else. He's not ignoring the statement, though, and finally glances up to ask, "What makes you say that?"

"But how so?" Mithos looks genuinely confused.

"Only bad things happened after that. It'd be better if everyone had a chance to start over." Mithos hugs himself a little and looks off into the distance.

Nia, on the other, exudes an air of curiosity and naivety so it's not that surprising what she says, "Why would you want to do that?" Her own expressions have been known to destroy retinas with the sheer amounts of cute before. I think Mithos has some competition in that compartment.

Insert blink here, followed by something that looks suspiciously like a combination of an "oh god so cute" look and a smile. "So I can bring back my sister and we can all save the world," he replies, unable to make excuses to that adorable face.

Whether Nia actually notices the combo look is up for debate (although the answer is probably no). She then does her famous headtilt before asking another question (she does that a lot), "What is 'bring her back?' Where did she go?"

"She died," Mithos replies solemnly, his expression going serious. "So I want her to live again."

Yes, we're idealistic.
