Sena wanders into the main part of the Nexus, finding a chair to flop into before asking his question.

"So...I kinda forgot, but my birthday was last month. 'Cept...would you still celebrate your birthday if you died?" Sena looks thoughtful. He's still alive, obviously so, but it's a question that's been bugging him.

The question is so strange, Aya feels compelled to try to answer.

"...If you are still a position to do so and had the desire, yes. Would you also celebrate your deathday?"

Oh look, another Aya. The Nexus is full of 'em! Except Sena can't remember if he's met this one before. But Ayas get an enthusiastic greeting none-the-less. "Hi, Aya!" he chirps.

"I guess I am, I mean...I'm alive again, even if I died before." And now there shall be emoface. "...no. That's nothing to celebrate."

Pause. "Hi. You must know an alternate of mine. Nice to meet you.

"Then you should. I don't think there are any conventions on this kind of thing."

"Most of them." Sena grins. "I live with one...and I'm Sena. LaPerm." Cat breed clue ya in, Aya?

"Guess I'm 17 then."

"Why turn down an excuse to ask for presents?"

"I don't ask for presents anyway." Sena grins. "How're you, Nagi?"

"I'm okay." Except that he obviously hasn't been sleeping well, or possibly enough.

"You found a place to live?" There's been a lack of Sena in the apartment, you see....

"You sure? You look tired." Sena's putting on the worry-face, Nagi, look out.

"Yeah, with my Aya. At least for now, he says he's probably leaving again."

I didn't know it was your brithday. I'm sorry.

I actually didn't celebrate my birthday for years, but recently people around me have convinced me that it can be a good thing. You're alive, so you should celebrate.

"No, don't apologize! I forgot. I'm not even sure if my Aya knows when it is, it never came up before."

"Yeah." Grin! "It can be a good thing. Mostly just being with friends and stuff."

Yes. People have surprised me with how thoughtful they've been. Is there anything I could do for you?

"No, thanks though." He smiles brightly, holding up his hands. "Just sayin' 'happy birthday's' enough." He hasn't celebrated it much for years.

"Why not? I would." Ishtar grins. "And a late happy birthday to you, if you do want to keep celebrating it."

Sena grins. "Thanks. I just forgot about it, it's been weird lately."

"Things get kinda hectic around here, don't they? I wouldn't have a chance to forget mine, since people at home make such a big fuss over every little anniversary or birthday... Mine was last month, too. What day is yours? And how old are you?"

"The fourth. I'm 17."

Nothing to feel stupid about. The Nexus is a place full of people who love a party and/or who have been dead or close to it.
